I’ve been a vintage wristwatch collector and dealer for over 65 years. Over these years, I’ve been lucky to find just three first class watchmakers. Ian, the owner of Cog and Wheel is one. He obviously loves his work. Highly knowledgable, talented, precise and most of all, a problem solver. Each time I travel from Wahgunyah to his wonderful shop it’s an enjoyable experience. Highly recommended.

Surprised by the youngest Clock and Watchmaker I have ever met. Ian is extremely friendly, enthusiastic and in most probability extremely knowledgeable (with over 20 years experience). Fixed my small problem in an instant and then facilitated a suitable repair in another. Shop is filled with various time pieces, old, older and a few new. THIS GEM IS WORTH A BROWSE EVEN IF YOUR NOT AN ENTHUSIAST!, Be warned I will return! ?

I hope this review doesn't bring Ian a lot of business that he doesn't necessarily want (tiny electronic devices) but I cannot recommend this guy highly enough! I had a problem with a motorcycle intercom thst needed a watch maker's tools and expertise. Sorted the problem while I waited. Thank you so much. Highly recommended!

For almost 50 yrs, Ian, his father, & his grandfather, have been looking after my brother's big "Omega Seamaster Chrono auto". Of course the watch used to be our father's.

Since the 80s, the Smiths have been servicing all my siblings' Omegas; mine is a Constellation SS/Gold Chrono). And my sister sends her French carriage clock 'home' to Tallangatta.

Without hesitation, I refer my friends to Ian, & they are now creating their own legacies.
