Visiting The Butterfly House is such a worthwhile experience l. My children and I have had the pleasure of visiting many times. Having 3 sons, the dinosaur forest is obviously a huge draw card, and the Dino show that includes interaction with the audience is awesome. The beautiful hothouse that houses the Butterflies is my favourite- strolling through with these beautiful creatures dancing through the air is such a unique experience. Thank you for providing such a beautiful place for us to visit!

My daughter is a big lover of dinosaurs and butterflies so this is an absolutely magical experience for her!
Warmer days are best for the butterflies - as to be expected as that’s how it is in nature! Regardless you will still get to see butterflies. The Gerald dinosaur show is a favourite, I highly recommend.
Stick around after the show and you get to meet one of the resident baby dinosaurs or Hiccups the baby unicorn.
My daughter adores them all (we know each of them by name), we always give them a pat and have a great experience with both them and their lovely caretaker.
There’s a playground area out past the cafe which is perfect for the kids to play while waiting for lunch.
Biggest display of dinosaurs on the coast and the animated ones are so realistic.

Great place to stop with your kids if you all need to stretch your legs. It was windy and rainy when we went though which was less enjoyable as the butterflies aren't as active and the dinosaurs are all outside. The staff were welcoming and took the time to entertain my two kids with puppets and getting them close to butterfly's which was appreciated. Would recommend 100% if it's a sunny day.

27.2.25 Nothing was working due to power being out even eftpos. The dinosaur exhibit and Alice in wonderland not working. Even the drink machines weren’t functioning.
Lucky we lived in the 2450 postcode because for the month of February they were offering 1/2 price admission and with an extra $5 a yearly admission. So with a seniors card for a year we paid only $31 otherwise the normal admission cost was $54, so it was a bargain and we can go back as many times as we like in 2025. Pretty sure we won’t.
Disappointed at the enclosure where the butterflies were barely any to be seen. Very underwhelming and extremely disappointing.
Staff were pretty good in telling people who were just visitors that they’d be better off coming back at a later date.
Which was very good of them.
Seeing we have a pass will have to see if it’s better when all exhibits are functioning. Maybe suggest ringing before you go.
Just a suggestion if you’re ever on Bribie Island their house is run by volunteers much smaller but a much better exhibit and so many more butterflies.

Over the holidays my children and I had such a wonderful experience at The Butterfly House. We got to see the butterflies, went through the maze, the mirror house and enjoyed a dinosaur show. We then had lunch at the cafe and picked out something from the gift shop. We are local and have purchased annual tickets as my children are begging to go back.
Thanks for an amazing experience.

As a local to the bonville area we have been visiting the butterfly house for 15+ years. We forgot just good it was until we took our little girl there and she had such a magical time. She loved the butterflies, the maze and the dinosaur show. After a busy morning we enjoyed a coffee in the cafe!

A beautiful and enchanting place to visit, especially for families with children. The park is home to a wide variety of butterflies, and when they apply a special nectar on your hands, you may find honey butterflies gently landing on you—it’s a magical experience!
It’s truly a unique and immersive environment where children lose track of time and don’t want to leave. The joy of watching butterflies up close and even having them rest on your hands creates memories that last a lifetime.
There are two Maze one is mirror maze and other wooden open to sky, Italian style.
While the overall experience is delightful, the entry fee is on the higher side, which may be a consideration for some. However, there is a café inside where you can grab a bite and relax, making it a pleasant spot to spend a few hours.

Perfect for a weekend outing, nature lovers, or anyone looking for a peaceful, colorful escape.

A really enchanting place to visit. We visited with our friends 28/01/25.
The kids loved all of it. They had so much fun in the mirror maze, loved the butterflies and the peacocks, had a great time checking out the dinosaurs. We spent around 2 hours here and were found it really enjoyable! The butterflies are magnificent
