As an Australian I was pretty let down by this place. Actually, no, mad.

A really good galah tea towel on display. Really pretty. Out of stock. I was there at 11am on a weekday when there were 20 other people on the island. Did 20 people buy one? He checked the under-lockers and out back; brought one out that was stained. Like, maaate... Oldmate serving went on a long break and didn't leave a sign out saying he'd be back in 5 MINS.

The lady at the ticket end of the counter laboured out the tritest, silliest story of colonialism I've ever heard: "Australia was a science experiment that Britain did for many people that lead to mateship and the fair go system." I pity tourists hearing this swill. And the thing is, this 5 minute talk came from my American mate asking a fairly brief question that could have been answered in 1 minute. He had not asked anything about colonialism. It was like a spiel. Let alone that I'm from Geelong and my other mate is from Brisbane, and she would known we were Aussie because we talked with her beforehand. It was weird and I had to walk away because it was so stupid and awks. My yank mate was politer than I.

Very great view of Sydney harbor bridge and CBD.
There are couple of cafe there so you don't need to take food or drink with you.
It's very easy to get there with ferry.
Lots of old factories and mines. Nice place for photography.
