I invited 10 friends to join me for an exclusive 5-day ride with Peter Cochrane to celebrate my 70th birthday. It was fun and memorable in the best way, the only scar on the week being the great number of shot brumbies on the plains, which was no fault of Peter’s. I could go on about that, but not here.

Have been on two rides, and absolutely loved it! Peter and his team are wonderfully accommodating, and the horses are all such characters. You can see the love and respect Pete has for the horses, and it’s such a unique experience to see Kosciusko on horseback, and enjoying a relaxed camp with fantastic food and company.

It was such a pleasure to return to Cochran horse treks for my second 3 day ride. We had beautiful weather but absolutely nothing compares to the wisdom, hospitality and horsemanship of Peter and his team Brad and Sam- alongside the phenomenal Jill. All of our meals were home cooked, nutritious and delicious. The horses are gentle, hardworking and so very loved. The scenery was beautiful and it was magic to see brumbies running free. Loved every minute of our adventure in the high country and we cannot wait to return.

Epic, fun, unique, remarkable and "10 out of 10" experience! Hats off to the iconic Peter, the mastermind behind it all, Elissa, one of the most capable people I have met of late, and Caroline, who's humour is only matched by her cooking and tasty food after a long day of riding. Peter and his team are great campers and guides. Respect and value for horse, environment and campers. The passion Peter has is a joy to hear and watch. I loved the three day brumby trek will be definitely returning in the future. Food, hospitality wonderful horses and the serenity that surrounds you, feeling the sense of wilderness all wrapped in one. Very uplifting. I can't thank you all, Peter, Michelle, Yvonne Iby and the group for a wonderful birthday holiday.

A truly amazing experience . Fantastic guides ,
, food and the horses were beautiful. Peter gave you a true Snowy Mountain experience explaining the vegetation , trails and history of the mountains . Loved every moment of the trip . Will definitely be back again .
