Golf course well presented and challenging but club house marred by poker machine emphasis coffee shop staff a bit disinterested bar one lovely lady of Italian heritage - loud disco music blares out and can be heard from a few holes accommodation on site very nice - excellent pro shop

A versatile multi-facility venue to cater for all ages. Food at the Cafe is delicious, specially the breakfast. Cherry on the top was the staff were super friendly and always keen to make the guests happy.

As always, rooms (beds and bathroom) were amazing, fresh towels each day. Unfortunately in rooms 17 & 18 the TVs were not working properly. Breakfasts and meals at Sporties always great. We have been coming up every January for many years and golf courses, particulalrly the old course, was in the best condition I have seen. Staff always friendly and golf package organisers are very efficient. Thanks again and look forward to next year.

Was playing the Victorian Mid Amateur championship held on both the Old and West courses. It was a pity that we had thunderstorms on day one, but the course held up well, and dried off pretty quick. The course is in great condition with Santa Ana Couch grass fairways, and bent greens. It is tight and with lots of undulations throughout the golf course, along with some blind tee shots and approaches to greens.
The greens are firm and quick at time of my game. If you are visiting the area, I would highly recommend a visit to stay and play. The staff in the restaurant and proshop are very friendly and helpful.

Also I love the mini golf complex that was built. It's a great course for the whole family. There is also great undercover area as well around the mini golf course.

Both golf courses and the pro shop staff were fantastic making our stay at Barooga very enjoyable. Value for money the package deal was excellent. It is unfortunate that the old golf clubhouse adjacent to our accommodation is now closed. This gives the area surrounding the accommodation the appearance of neglect and decline. I noticed the O/N rate at $250 as opposed to the $150 O/N rate at the accommodation adjacent to the Sporties. The application of the $250 O/N rate may need some review.

Other than than the pro shop staff dealings with the Club were very tiresome (eg someone booked our restaurant time ,not us, as we arrived early we were required to sit outside the restaurant that was about 25% full for 15 minutes) . Multiple interactions were required(I could not book a package I had to get a quote, accept the quote, and then agree to the conditions). Unnecessary information was required(I had to supply my full name and telephone numberphone number before I could enter the restaurant.

The purpose of our trip was to play out two courses which we did and enjoyed to very much.

We did a 3 night stay and play package. Love the course, it is in great condition, clubhouse was great, staff friendly and the beer cold.
