I brought my family here for lunch on Mother's day.
The food was excellent, also the service.
After ordering there was not a long wait.
After owning a pub myself, I know the hardest day is Mother's day.
There was nothing, but friendly service in all areas. I love this pub. Have frequented it quite often in the last 6 months and have found nothing to complain about.

Lovely area to eat, food presented well, staff were lovely and accommodating...food was a tad pricey however, you don't mind the cost if the meals are good. I had beef stroganoff, meat was tough and grisly, potato wasn't real potato - was the packet type, and for $30 a serve, i was bit disappointed. Mum in law had lambs fry, which was on the dry side, again, not real mashed spuds, which was a shame. Partner had salt & pepper squid...just frozen pineapple cut squid rather than hand cut, but he said it was ok. Also ordered garlic bread that was really good!. Expensive lunch - $90 + ... would we go again? Probably not. For the price, higher quality food should be used.

The staff was very friendly but the chef doesn’t know how to cook as we order steak medium rare and he serve like a rare still the blood of the beef goes out and also its so salty and we call staff so they can just cook it well done but unfortunately very upset with the outcome as still rare not very happy. it’s useless if the food is terrible. That’s my opinion as a first time eating here. Waste money.

Attended on 30/4/25. Did not seem overly busy. We lined at the “wait here to be seated” sign. We waited, and waited.
A male serving at the bar made eye contact and could see we were waiting with nil comment. Two waitresses were hovering by the kitchen serve bay, looked at us and said nothing. Eventually one walked in our direction, walked right past us and went to collect dirty plates.
We left and will NOT return. Went to the Highlander where we received immediate and exceptional service.

Went for dinner on Wednesday night, ordering process very slow, had a bowl of wedges to start, I’ve never had tasteless ones before so that’s unique. Ordered the chicken schnitzel with surf and turf, how do you justify an extra $9 for four prawns and some vaguely flavoured sauce? I honestly thought I had contracted covid as there was no taste at all on the premanufacured schnitzel. My wife had the daily special Beef stroganoff which was half cold, tough and also tasteless. Our dining companions both had the lamb kebabs, had to wait for the sauce which apparently was dianne, I’m sure that’s what it must of said on the packet anyway, both were disappointed especially as it was their choice to eat here.
Decor and staff really nice but the kitchen needs urgent help

Love the Clovey.. Food is great, services is great!
BUT... the ordering system needs to be improved. With only 1 person talking orders for food & drinks the line up & wait time is very long and makes the dining experience not as pleasurable as it should be. This also creates a line across access for other patrons to the dining room.
All said and done and I will still go back again because the food is great.

Had an absolutely fantastic experience at The Clovey! The food was incredibly tasty, fresh, and generous, with a modern twist that made every dish stand out. The Natural Oysters were a highlight—top notch! The service was exceptional, especially from Jake, who welcomed us warmly and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our lunch. The restaurant’s aesthetic is impressive and modern, creating a lovely atmosphere. I couldn’t fault anything about our visit. I’ll definitely be back and will be recommending it to all my friends and family! Highly recommend!

We went for a meal, but when ordering pre-lunch drinks, I had the misfortune to be confronted at the counter by a grumpy, bespectacled old man who was most unhelpful.
He refused to provide the drink that I requested, even though he could have asked a staff member to get it from the adjacent front bar, (which more accommodating staff have previously done for me on several occasions).
When I asked "what can I do?", he raised his voice and was quite rude.
So I said "forget it" and walked away.
We decided to take our business down the road to the Settlers Hotel where we received the usual polite, friendly and helpful service we expect, as well as a great meal and drinks we wanted.
