Have just returned from a fabulous holiday in Europe. I sent Mel a spreadsheet with my plans, including some non-negotiables (hotels I’d chosen, side trips I’d found). Mel and the team organized all the details, hotels, flights, trains, transfers and tours. It all worked perfectly and complied with my requests. The hotels were all close to the centre of cities so it was easy to get around while there. The team made sure that there was enough time between trains/flights to make our connections (even when in some cases there were delays.
Both the emailed documentation and the hard copies contained useful notes and reminders about such things as on-line check-ins, tours and transfers that had to be confirmed.
Mel kept in touch where necessary with reminders and updates, changed a tour when we were half-way through the trip and responded promptly (and out of hours) when we were given some misinformation.

Melanie showed a real interest in helping us plan our trip, unlike some of the "big " agents who wanted to railroad us into one of their preset packages, which would have us tied down to doing what they wanted us to do.

I would advise all to check & read all your travel documents because sometimes there are little details that can be very relevent to your hassle-free journey. We found this out ourselves simply because we overlooked a small detail that could have caused us ti miss a train journey. Luckily, we had enough "wriggle room" timewise and were able to get it sorted.

The last stage of our trip included 5 nights at a seaside resort, but upon arrival at the resort, we were told that the room we booked via Melanie was not available, and the resort was at capacity. We were put up in a less than ideal room, which was disappointing for us.
The next morning, we had advice from Melanie, that her wholesaler had unfortunately made an error with our booking and there was nothing we could do about it.
Melanie went in to bat for us with the offending wholesaler and succeeded in obtaining a full refund for the accommodation package, including our meals!

Apart from that (we still enjoyed our time at the resort anyway), our trip overall was very enjoyable and we would recommend Clout travel to anybody who is planning a holiday either with everything, tours etc set in concrete, or just traveling to your own choice of destinations without being tied to tour timetables, restaurants, visiting specific sites etc.

It's nice if things go wrong, to know you have an agent who is looking after your best interests and is prepared to take on and rectify any errors.
