The best property management that has been around for decades and staff who runs the property are the most valuable people in the business. Place is so beautiful and most comfortable to stay. Absolutely amazing services from Paul and Steve you can imagine. We love it very much and we appreciate warm hospitality and good services from Steve and Paul.It made our stay very special and we love to come back to stay with them again.

My partner Tricia and I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Closeburn House, and from the moment we arrived, Paul and Steve made us feel like treasured guests rather than just visitors. The house itself is stunning, beautifully maintained, and full of character. Our room was immaculate, the bed was like sleeping on a cloud, and the peaceful surroundings made it the perfect escape from city life. Breakfast was just divine—fresh, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection.

What truly sets Closeburn House apart though are Paul and Steve. They’re not only incredible hosts but genuinely lovely people who clearly pour their hearts into making sure every guest has a wonderful experience. We spent a truly delightful and relaxing weekend at Closeburn House, located near the beautiful Blue Mountains. Owners Paul and Steve have lovingly and meaningfully restored this historic property, preserving its unique architectural details while breathing new life into it. From the charming building itself to the meticulously maintained gardens, every detail radiates warmth and care.

The room was spotless and cozy, with thoughtful heating arrangements to ensure comfort in every corner. The bed was incredibly comfortable — the kind you sink into and don’t want to get up from. We were also treated to two delicious breakfasts, freshly prepared by the owners themselves, with so much attention to detail. Throughout our stay, Paul and Steve were attentive to every aspect of the guest experience — a level of care that is rare to find elsewhere.

Paul and Steve hosted the most relaxing weekend.
They have their business so well ran, where attention to detail is second to none. The house is decorated so beautifully with so much taste.
Breakfast each morning is delicious and generous, made to order and so fresh. The bed is comfortable and warm in a spacious and cosy bedroom. The communal spaces are quiet and calm and so nice to sit back and relax in. I can't say enough great things about Closeburn house and Paul & Steve!

Staying at Closeburn House is a dream! Paul and Steven are such wonderful hosts, going above and beyond to make our stay delightful. Our room was very spacious and the house its self is so charming! Whether it be walking through the garden or relaxing with a drink in the lounge Closeburn house is definitely our go to when staying in the Blue Mountains.

We spent a fabulous weekend at this superb boutique resort.

A fast and efficient check in by the owner operators who are warm, friendly, very funny and down to earth. It became quickly obvious that they were very good at what they do - making you quickly feel welcome, very comfortable and enjoying this luxury retreat (the breakfast options were delicious). It all felt special.

Our suite was very comfortable and we found all the furniture and furnishings are perfect for this type of lux weekender, plush, stylish, comfortable and all in top notch condition, as was the property and grounds as a whole. Faultless really and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone (actually, we have already :).

I have stayed at Closeburn house annually for 5 years now, and I don't even consider other accomodation.

I love that this cozy, quiet bed and breakfast is tucked away for a secluded weekend in the Blue Mountains. Complete with a bath in the room, open fireplaces with large, plush sofas - This is THE place to stay if being delightfully cozy with a glass of wine and a good book in front of the fire sounds like your kind of weekend away.

I usually stay when I am in the Mountains for trail running events. Closeburn is far enough away to be out of the rabble, but close enough for convenience. Blackheath just down the road gives amenity, but, really, why would you leave? Grab another glass of wine and read another chapter. It's worth it.

5 stars for hospitality. This bed and breakfast is like coming to visit your favourite doting uncles.

My partner and I had the pleasure of staying in this wonderfully restored 1800's guest house in the loft rooms.
The host's Paul and Steven are the most welcoming, warm people you could ever meet, and you feel immediately feel at home.

The room was immaculate, bed was comfortable we both had the most relaxed sleep.

In the mornings the breakfast's were beautifully presented and just absolutely amazing, textures, taste and alot of variety.
Greeted each morning by warm welcomes and hot tea and coffee and great chats like talking with an old friend.
Very personable and attentive service these guys don't just get hospitality they absolutely smash it out of the park!!!

We will definitely come back to stay at this beautiful venue.
