If you're interested in maritime history or simply seeking a unique and engaging experience in Port Adelaide, a visit to the Clipper Ship is highly recommended. Our guided tour, led by the knowledgeable and enthusiastic volunteer John, was a highlight. He brought the ship's history to life with fascinating details about its construction, voyages, and the daily lives of crew and passengers. Walking the decks and exploring the various parts of the ship truly conveyed its scale and rich history. The ship impressively showcases its diverse past, having served as a floating quarantine, coal/lumber transport, museum, passenger boat, and navy club, complete with numerous informative artifacts. The dedication of the volunteers in preserving and sharing this important piece of maritime history is commendable.

Amazing example of Australian history. A contemporary of the Cutty Sark but ravaged by time and underwater soaks.

Excellent tours and each tour guide gives different perspectives.

When you first get there, the place seems ragtag and run by a couple of feeble senior volunteers, but they're actually very knowledgeable and passionate about the boat, and desperately doing everything they can to keep it alive. I do recommend the tour, during which they'll show you every inch of the ship, it's history, including many interesting facts, and what they're trying to do for it next, absolutely worth it, as well as the other three museums in the areas, i.e. Marintime, Aviation and Railway.

An enjoyable and informative tour of this unique vessel, which is a huge part of this state's history. Around a quarter of a million Aussies can trace their history back to this ship.
