I highly recommend The Civic Hotel for all your up coming events no matter the size. They cater for all events from a casual night, sharing a meal and a few drinks to corporate to full band set ups, weddings, parties etc. They have 3 rooms to choose from. With your events, you have the bonus of renting a room upstairs to stay the night. The management and staff are brilliant and cater to all your needs with professional yet personal attitude. The kitchen dish up great meals at a reasonable price. Whatever you pay for the venue, you spend over the bar or in the kitchen. You will not find a better deal anywhere. Thank you, to everyone I dealt with at my recent event, you are all amazing. I hired groove karaoke for my recent event. They have user friendly equipment and set up is quick and they run through everything with you. For a hassle free night.

Real local pubs still exist! Attentive and energetic staff make this old pub feel the real deal! Good music, plenty of screens and good food always a winner. There's a few new shiny and trendy places around now but the novelty wears off and we find ourselves back at the Civic.

Looking for a bad time? Don't come here. The Civic is the best pub in the Southern Hemisphere and probably the North too. Always bringing the best music, vibes and service, amazing food and even better staff! Thom, Matt, Luna and Rhys will feel like family among friends and the security guards are nothing short of lovely. Garlic sauce to die for and an experience to stay for, I can't recommend this place highly enough. This local is a 10/10 favourite and you'll be sorry if you don't stop by!

The Civic is an absolute the best! Whether you're popping in for a quick drink after work or settling in for a night out with friends, this place delivers every time. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, the food is consistently great (highly recommend the schnitzel or the steak sandwich), and the drink selection is spot on.

What truly sets this pub apart, though, is the service — and Nicole is the star of the show. She's hands-down the best server I’ve ever encountered. Friendly, attentive, and always on the ball, Nicole makes everyone feel like a regular. She remembers your order, checks in at just the right times, and brings a warm, genuine energy that elevates the whole experience.

I was there with a group of friends and we had a really good experience. Jett served us and was amazing, he made us super tasty cocktails that he recommended. He took good care of us and made the experience even better!

We’ve been coming here quite frequently, the service was good, bar staff was nice, but after they changed the whole bunch of new staffs( not just one the whole team actually ), the service just not being good.
Especially the girls (bar staff also waitresses), they are just rude, no customer service at all(not just my own opinions, I’ve been talking to some regular customers here), myself working in the hospitality industry as well, really think they need more training and experience, they management shouldn’t be just desperate need someone to work!

$19 for starters is just out of this world, “fried chicken” that was just crumbed rubbish, save ya dollars for a bucket of KFC finest!

The Civic was meant to be a brief stop over on the way to the airport for our honeymoon, but ended up being the highlight of our trip! Not only did they upgrade our room, but they also were nice enough to leave us a bottle of sparkling from the Yarra Valley. Beautiful place, Milk bar downstairs. Could not reccomend more 😀
