Arrived at the property and was pleasantly surprised to see the updated room with comfortable bed, microwave and tidy bathroom. Don't be put off by the front of the property, the rooms were spacious and modern. The queen bed was very comfortable. The property is within a short walking distance to pubs and a supermarket as well as the main shopping centre. Port Pirie was a lovely place to visit. The gentleman who helped me with an enquiry was very friendly and helpful.

The room is pretty new, the only downside it was not cleaned. It looks someone was sleeping in the befd when i opened the room. I have called the manager on phone which is very helpful and moved me to another room. I found it in the morning that rug in the bathroom has not bern changed and still has a foot markings and one of the towels looks it has been used.

room was very neat and tidy, well equipped with microwave, toaster and jug and lots of power points with phone chargers. bed was very comfortable. well priced for an over night stay. great spot, close to shopping. well worth the stay 🙂

recently stayed at the City Centre Motel in Port Pirie and, unfortunately, the experience wasn't as smooth as I'd hoped. While the location was convenient, the overall stay was somewhat underwhelming.

The self-check-in process was a bit of a hassle. After a long drive from Adelaide, the last thing I wanted was to spend time fiddling with a number lock, especially when it seemed to be malfunctioning.

The room itself was basic, and the water pressure in the shower was disappointingly low. It was a bit like trying to rinse off with a gentle drizzle.

While the price point seemed a bit high for the level of comfort offered, I understand that regional accommodations can be limited.

Overall, my stay at the City Centre Motel was a mixed bag. With a few improvements, it could be a decent option for a quick overnight stay.

I was in room 15 and the kettle did not work so I had to heat water for a cup of coffee in the microwave. The hot water tap in the shower was lose and I had to hold it to get hot water. There was no shower curtain which meant the floor in the bathroom got very wet. There was no hair dryer and the light switches were the other end of the room from the entrance door. The plus side was that the room was clean and neat

Booked the superior queen room for our family (3 adults and 2 children). Advertised as family friendly.
There was a restaurant kitchen outside the room, blinds on door did not close so the outdoor light that was on all night brightened up the room. The kitchen staff were loud outside all night and smoking outside our room.

No remote for the heater to change it over from aircon.
Tv remote half worked and had no cover for batteries.
No sink in kitchenette so had to clean in bathroom.
Beds in horrible and uncomfortable condition.
Floor boards moving/lifting.
Toilet brush snapped and unusable.

No staff available on site.
While one of the cheapest places to stay in town, I would not recommend

Stayed for 3 nights, very clean, comfortable & very reasonable price, huge shower head was the best. Definitely recommend the stay.

Firstly, booked this accommodation through bookings.com - that was a mistake. After arriving at the accommodation, the reception had closed as I had booked the accommodation an hour prior on departure from Port Augusta. ||I received a phone call that the booking should not have gone through as they had no rooms available and the price I paid was incorrect, however managed to put me up in a room within the reception building. While a stand alone motel room would have been better, this was suitable given the lateness of the arrival. ||The room was one of 3 withing the reception building with shared kitchen and bathroom. Beware the large lip on the bathroom entrance as it catches toes.||The room was pleasant however if other people had been staying in the additional rooms, it would not have been appropriate. ||The building seems to make alot of noise at night which can make falling asleep abit difficult. ||There is no dryer so if you wash your closes you need to utilise the lose horse in the room. Not helpful if you needed the clothes again the following morning as I did. Also not helpful with the lack of ironing facilities. ||Bottom line is booking.com stuffed this one up and the motel did their best to accommodate. While the price was under $100 I wouldn't expect to pay anymore for a shared bathroom and kitchen facilities separate to the room.||
