Had an amazing day with Chook at the helm. 4 awesome wineries and an Italian restaurant for a fantastic lunch. Very personable and knowledgeable made for a fun and educational trip. Would highly recommend to anyone.

We had an amazing day with our tour. From the onset Chook and Mrs Chook were entertaining and so knowledgeable about the area and the wineries. They selected smaller more personal wineries and it's clear to see how respected they are in the local community.
I highly recommend this company.

Wonderful day in the vines hosted by the delightfully engaging Chook. He knows his area and never ceased to entertain with stories. The wineries and gin distillery chosen were top notch with not a bad wine or experience amongst them. Each stop the hosts were personal and entertaining with my favorite stops being Helen and “Dave” from Kangarilla Road Winery, Vasarelli’s lunch and the gin flights at Neat Spirits. There really wasn’t a bad thing I could say of this experience. Money and a day well spent.

Chookers to Chook!
Experience was great, and we got plenty tipsy. Kangarilla was the standout stop, basically with unlimited tastings.
Chook was great, and took great care of us!

My only criticism, and this is tincy, is that all the places were really close together, so we didn't get much opportunity to "recover" between tastings!

A Genie in a Bottle!
From the moment we met Chook & was ushered into his fabulously glam van, Chook granted us our every wish. From squeezing in not one but two stops to cheer on the riders of the Tour Down Under to savouring the delights of four fabulous boutique wineries to an extraordinary lunch at Vasarelli’s, Chook planned & executed our schedule with apparent effortless ease. Humour, local knowledge, love of the region & its inhabitants shone brightly all day. Truly a spectacular (& extremely entertaining) day. We will be back & will certainly ride on Chook’s magic carpet ride again.

If I could give Chook 6 stars I would!

He was fun, friendly, professional, respectful and very passionate about the region. His main focus is supporting smaller wineries owned by locals, although had all bases covered from very traditional to experimental wines across the places we visited.

His knowledge of the area was fabulous, and we were lucky to have an (accidental) private tour as we were only available on his usual day off. Instead of staying at home, he decided to take us on the best wine tour I’ve been on (which is a few, all across Australia). He even managed to cater for a vegan and vegetarian, even though his usual lunch spot had a power outage, and his wife Kerry joined us for lunch, which was a lovely addition.

If you have the chance to do a wine tour in McLaren Vale, I really couldn’t recommend Chook enough.
