Great experience here, doing a tasting tour Stewart is a great host super light hearted and funny the whiskey is amazing and a cheese board locally sourced. Highly recommend coming here, you do a tasting board, tour of the onsite distillery and take your own bottle filled from the cask yourself. 10/10

I purchased a tasting and take home bottle for two for my husband and a close friend to compliment my husband's birthday gifts. I drove the guys two hours each way to get to Chief’s Son and they absolutely loved their experience! They had a great time and were so thankful to Naomi and Stuart for being great hosts! They were very knowledgeable and informative. This was my husband’s friend’s first tour and he absolutely loved it as well! Thank you for giving them an amazing experience! They loved your award winning whisky and I can’t wait to try my bottle of vodka! We’ll be back again in the future!

We happened to be in the area and decided to stop into the distillery 30 minutes before closing time, being fully aware that we might not get to see or taste much. Instead of being rushed through or being made to feel like an inconvenience, the team at Chief’s Son were really welcoming. It was even their distiller, Mitch‘s, birthday but he was happy to take us for a tasting of their different bottlings.

Just FYI- At a very token cost of $10 per person, it is a fantastic deal- well worth it!

The smell as you walk in is incredible and doing a tasting overlooking the distillery floor complete with still and racks of barrels really adds to the experience. Whether you’ve tried whisky before or you’re a complete novice, there’s something there for everyone.

If you’re wondering, I left with a bottle of the Sweet Peat, which for those who appreciate peat, but might not be into heavily peated whiskies per se, I recommend trying as it is really delightful. There are a number of choices and lots of sizes and sets to pick from if you have trouble choosing ☺️

My wife and I enjoyed tastings during our birthday weekend, and it was a delightful experience. Meeting Stuart was a highlight; he shared the history of their journey and made us feel incredibly welcome.

I am now a big advocate for their Single Malt Whisky, while my wife thoroughly enjoyed the Vodka.
We will definitely be returning for more!

What a fantastic tour learning about Malt whisky and distilling. Tour starts with how they started out and the branding they come up with there ideas.the tour moves on to tasting and how its made and how it all comes together .

My wife and I visited the distillery for a tasting session and I was honestly astonished at the reasonable prices,if you wanted to try all 12 different whiskys it only cost $40.

All the whisky was super approachable, even the cask strengths which came in at 60%.

Our server Rueben was knowledgeable and very friendly which made the experience even better.

We'll be back again soon!
