We went to Château Yerring as a special treat for our anniversary. The staff were fantastic, but we noticed that Chateau Yerring was like a no-frills budget hotel but with nicer rooms. It started off well on the first night with a lovely dinner at the restaurant but the second night the restaurant was closed and there was not a single staff member on the premises after 5:30 pm.. We could not even get a drink or a cup of coffee from the bar, or light a fire in the drawing room, and if there was any sort of problem or medical issue, nobody would know because nobody was there. Other than the family with two small children across the hall from us I think we were the only people in the hotel. It felt a bit like The Shining. The morning of our departure, the restaurant was closed again and we were left with food that we couldn’t eat in our fridge . We were not given an option to choose . ||The hotel used to offer croquet on the lawn, and there used to be a wonderful luxurious vibe at the hotel, but it felt like management was cutting corners wherever they could and we noticed. The result was that it felt soulless. The staff did their best with the resources available to them, which clearly wasn’t much, and they were all lovely and friendly and helpful, when they were there, but the place was clearly short-staffed.. Also, having to ask to have our room made up in a luxury boutique hotel was a bit strange. We didn’t even know it was a thing because we hadn’t read the small print on the table until we realised that the room had not been touched. This never used to be the case. And in other hotels of this calibre which offer that, it is usually done the other way around where the room is serviced by default and where you can request not to have it serviced . ||Château Yerring was renowned as a luxury boutique hotel under the previous owners , but we left there feeling disappointed as it had not lived up to what was advertised and what it used to be. If I had known that, I would’ve booked elsewhere to celebrate our anniversary.

The hotel is very charming and beautiful, and the grounds are really delightful. Rooms are immaculate, very spacious and comfortable.||Four of us dined at Elenore’s restaurant, and it was a truly wonderful event. The chef is an absolute gem with outstanding skills and imagination. We all enjoyed every delicious offering presented to us. The wine list is brilliantly curated, as you’d expect at such a venue, but it was lovely to fine a few delightful surprises listed. Our waiter was warm and knowledgeable, and made a terrific effort to ensure we had a great night.||Breakfast the following morning was also judged to be a great success, again, waitstaff were faultless.

What a phenomenal spot! Stopped in for a wine tasting and was absolutely blown away — the team was warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic. They even opened a 2014 estate Chardonnay, which was an unexpected treat. You can really feel the pride and passion they pour into every part of the experience.

We loved our recent stay at Chateau Yering Hotel. Our room was very spacious, clean and very quiet. The TV was quite small but not a significant issue. The service was perfect. All staff were helpful, kind and knowledgeable, particularly during dinner with the wines. Our 3 course dinner was delicious. All sitting rooms were stunning and the location is perfect with such amazing views. We enjoyed breakfast in the cafĂŠ both mornings. Thank you for a memorable stay

Huge comfy bed and great old Victorian setting. Nice views and great food. Very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Good selection of options for breakfast and quick and friendly staff on hand at all times. Huge bedroom with sitting chairs and tables.

Hi thanks for the opportunity to provide feedback from our recent stay. My husband works for the Savoy in Melb and I travel extensively so we are regular guests in resorts and hotels. Unfortunately our stay with you was very disappointing. We acknowledge the property is old and tied but these comments have nothing to do with the run down state of the property. This is poor management and quality. After checking in we went to our room and noted that the bathroom was not very clean, especially the shower. We also went to make some tea and there was open milk in the fridge and we had to go and ask for wine glasses as the ones in the room were different sizes and we had bubbles. We booked for dinner in the restaurant and while we thought the meal was excellent (well done chief) the service was embarrassing. Our waitress was terrified lacked any confidence knew nothing about the menu and did not know where the bathrooms were and could not answer any questions. The wine we chose was not available so two others were suggested. The first was not even the same grape variety and we could not drink the second we accepted because we simply gave up. Come morning we had no hot water for showed but the icing on the cake was the 45 min wait at reception to check out! The guests actually started laughing it was such a joke and poor customer experience. So in summary we would rate our experience 1/5 (the 1 for the meal) and could not recommend your property.

Have stayed here a few times. The staff are wonderful and really make you feel welcome. The rooms are awesome as are the grounds and surrounds. They have a great restaurant on site. I would highly recommend staying here if you get the chance.

Absolutely amazing service at dinner last night 7/6/25. The three servers on did an amazing job explaining the menu and wine recommendations. Unfortunately, there were a group of ladies who were yelling at staff and disrupting everyone else’s experience. It’s even more upsetting to see they’ve left negative reviews, after they tormented and berated two clearly very young ladies. My wife and I were disgusted by the older women’s behaviour and it’s sad to see instead of taking accountability they’ve now tried to blame those young girls. I would highly recommend this place and a big pat on the back to the staff on last night, the way you handled a tough situation was professional and you should be proud.
