Positive: The location was perfect, the view stunning and the staff was fantastic! Great pool too! Negative: The place could do with some cosmetic work (eg rusty ceilings, very wobbly table) but you expect that in a property of this age. It did not take anything away from the experience. I had a great stay and would stay again.

Location is fantastic, and the staff are super lovely. However, charging over $700 for a studio room over three nights feels steep, especially given the room’s condition. There was no air conditioning, noticeable mould in the bathroom (including the toilet), and the overall cleanliness was not quite up to standard. While I understand prices go up during peak times, for that rate, a little upkeep and a refresh of the room would go a long way.

This hotel is completely inconsistent with the photos—it’s false advertising. The room is very old and clearly has not been renovated for years. The air conditioner didn’t work, and there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. On the first night, I couldn’t sleep at all because the bed was right against the corridor wall, and there was absolutely no soundproofing. I checked out the next day even though I had booked for three nights. They only refunded me for one night, which I’m very unhappy about, but I don’t want to waste more time arguing. Just a warning to others—don’t be fooled by the photos on Booking.com!

Stayed here for a weeks holiday with my partner and first night unit directly across from our room had music blaring till 11.45pm which quiet time for the hotel is meant to be 9pm/10pm.Then we come to find out that there is no housekeeping unless you stay 8 days or more,so for a week you get 1 roll of toilet paper.(So obviously then we had to buy our own) Sheets and towels don't get changed and if you want an extra towel it's a charge of $3 per towel,(i went and brought an extra towel from the convenience store opposite the Hotel,Glass doors to the railing were dirty,Fingerprints on the TV,water pressure in the shower was next to NIL even after them changing the shower head and then telling us that should have fixed it but it didn't,then we got notes in the door to our unit telling us that a real estate was bringing someone through that was purchasing the unit we were staying in (which could have waited till the unit was vacant for this to happen) then what was supposed to be our last night the neighbours music started again (even though it was only early god only knows what time it would have gone on till) we go to reception and tell the woman who's response was "what do you want me to do about it" so we checked out early got our incidentals money back as we had paid in cash but then that amount again had to be held on my partners card until the room was checked the next day and we only got the money back today after a week and 1 day (only because I called them that they released it) This resort really needs to pick up there game and clean the place up and teach there staff better customer service to there guests,I would never stay here again if it was free

We were very happy with the location in the middle of everything - we like being in the centre of Surfers or nearby. Our unit was a good price at approx $150 per night - and we stayed a week. The front lobby looks lovely and clean and modern. But -The lifts are grubby, then the hallway to our room and finally our apartment. It could have been very nice with a good scrub and a little upkeep (a few broken items - tap, mop, cloths airer). I presume the apartments are owned privately but still should be cleaner than they were. The ocean view from our room was good and although not an actual balcony it was good enough with the sliding doors and railing.

Rooms are a little dated but very clean. The staff are friendly. Location is very good on the esplanade within walking distance of the Caville Avenue precinct. There's is a restaurant at the front of the building and various other restaurants near.

We loved our recent stay at Chateau!
We've stayed here a few times previously and yes the rooms are dated, But you cannot top the view or the location!
We stayed in a studio beach front and were lucky enough to watch a pod of Whales cruising past right from our apartment!
We loved how affordable and competitive the pricing was!
Parking is convenient if you need it! Most things are walk-able such as Cavill Avenue and Coles, Or the nearby tram stop will take you wherever you need to go!
Thanks team for a wonderful stay!

Only thing good about this "hotel" is the location. Rooms are disgusting, mold in the bathroom and kitchen area and the room itself in a while doesn't look to have been cleaned in a LONG time.
Service when we told them about the mold, refused to swap our room or give a refund.
For the price you can get a room at a much nicer hotel who care about their guests for the same price (which we did).
I am absolutely disgusted by this establishment and would only recommend going there if you don't care about staying in filth with horrible service.
