Very poor experience. The shower was calcified and high pressure mist. Advertised free breakfast with a variety of fruit, breads and yoghurt.... there was nil yoghurt fruit was whole apples and pears and the variety of breads consisted of a loaf a the cheapest white bread from Coles. No other variety at all. Then after visiting family for the day we returned to the same room we left. Dirty dishes from breakfast that we had to take to our room to n cook n eat. No cleaning service was provided at all. No fresh towels no beds made nothing. The beds are that soft they were uncomfortable and when we tried to sort it out we got nothing at all. Dont stay here. Worst experience I have ever had from every aspect.

What can I say? This hotel is SCREAMING for a refurb. It’s decidedly shabby. The service is poor. There is a guest laundry but reception does not offer change for the washing machine. Even though we all know that they take the change out of it. Free continental breakfast is advertised but nowhere could I find it. There is a sink and bench, but no power point to plug in the kettle. Reception smells like the food that was heated up for the receptionist’s lunch. Also she was wearing moccasins.

We stayed here on the 17th of May on the way back from a work trip and checked in late, was very easy to find key but could not find where to go into hotel with the directions provided.

The room smelt really bad, the sheets were dirty and scratchy and the bathroom was also full of mould. (see photo)

I would not recommend staying here for the price we paid.

We also tried contacting the hotel manager and they did not answer the phone.

I stayed here for work and found the cleaners to be lovely and accommodating, and the girl on the front desk exceptionally fun and helpful!

However, I was extremely disappointed with the handling of a personal item I accidentally left behind—a large, expensive workout mat. When I followed up, the manager admitted to giving it away to some tradies without attempting to identify the owner. This lack of care was unacceptable.

We have stayed here twice and about to bunk down here again. If the place was not any good, do you think I would be staying a third time?

Having just spent two nights at the Charbonnier Motel in Singleton, we had a little trepidation about what to expect with some of the previous negative reviews. I can only say I give the motel five stars. From the moment we walked into the reception, we were greeted by a friendly, smiling young woman who checked us into room 101. Our room was on the ground floor, the bathroom was clean, and the shower pressure was powerful. The bed was comfortable, and we were happy with the room experience. A continental breakfast was provided, and I had read many disgruntled comments about its sparseness. There was fruit, juices, coffee, tea, bread for toasting, various cereals and yoghurts. One thing I had never seen in a continental buffet breakfast was small tins of baked beans and the option to heat them in the microwave. There isn't much more to add to a Motel continental breakfast except for maybe croissants or pastries; this is a motel, not a hotel.|"We had a fantastic time during our two-night break in the Hunter Valley. The customer service, especially from the young woman at the reception was top-notch. We couldn't have asked for anything more. I would highly recommend this motel to anyone staying in Singleton."

Lovely older motel, has a great retro vibe. Room had everything we needed, beds were clean and comfortable with great pillows. TV was smart with all the usual apps. The shower was hot with fantastic water pressure, towels were so good I wanted to keep them. Breakfast was simple and appreciated. Staff were always friendly, housekeeping did a great job.

Affordable accommodation in what can be a pricey area, especially when wine tasting. Clean, comfortable room. The A/C was finicky but got the job done. Breaky was simple but adequate. Friendly service.
