We stopped to charge up our new BYD Seal and Merredin has a fast charger.
A pleasant walk through the main street brought us to the Merredin hot bread shop. What a gem! They offer the most amazing array of delicious bakery products and great coffee. It would be a lovely day trip only 3 hours out from Perth. You could even take the train and spend a couple of days in the town.
Great how charging the EV gives the added bonus of exploring little towns along the way
Much nicer than the generic roadhouses all across Australia. There’s a bonus for the towns too as we have time for a cuppa and nearly always buy something.

Great staff but never open on the weekends, which is when the bulk on the tourists are in town.

Now has a shaded bus stop sort of area that people can use. Opposite side of the grassed area to the toilet block (which IS open on the weekends)
