Visited Dunolly today. Thankyou to council for providing and maintaining clean toilet facilities and neat gardens in centre of town. Enjoyed lunch from the Bakery and architecture of main Street. Worth a visit.

As dog owners, Maryborough felt unwelcoming, unfriendly and alienating. Dogs are not allowed down the main street. In a confusing (to say the least) and completely contradictory policy, the local caravan park allows dogs. Of course you can’t, and wouldn’t, want to leave your dog in the car or caravan while going to the main street, so what’s the point? I would have thought getting tourism going would be a key strategy, not hanging out “dogs not welcome” sign. We were all set to stay here, but you’ve driven us away - there are plenty of other towns that are far more welcoming. This seems like a really stupid & backward policy. 👎👎 Tip: if you are passing through and want a coffee or a meal together with your friendly pooch, go to The Station Cafe/Restaurant. Dogs welcome. ⭐️👍

I’ve been travelling for 18 months and this is the only place I haven’t been able to walk my dog down the Main Street. Can’t leave them in the van as it’s against caravan park policies and it’s also cruel. Disappointed is an understatement.

There is a old woman, Debbie Downs who I saw just this morning in Mostyn Street. She hated me enormously when we worked in Central Admin. State Library of Victoria back in the early 1980's. Cocky little thing too she is. She is worth nothing.
