My husband and I stayed in the Spa suite, room #2. It was lovley and clean. The customer service was excellent. The beds wer the mosr comfotrable firm bed I have slept on in a very long time.|My only small complaint was the car parking, the room didnt have their own designeted car parking spaces and it was a case of first in first serve for one. Ther was on night that we were therr and the car park was full so we had to park a block way from the hotel. Other then that, it was a great place to stay

I have stayed at this place multiple times and it never disappoints. The room we stayed in most recently was beyond what I expected. Absolutely beautiful, felt like i was home. So comfortable and spacious. I will definitely be back in the future.

Our overnight stay at Cathedral Motor Inn was just what we needed. The young gentleman who checked us in (over the phone since it was going to be late) was an absolute delight—friendly, helpful, and very understanding of my elderly mother’s needs. He made our late check-in seamless, and even took the time to ensure our breakfast order was sorted in advance, which was greatly appreciated.

The room itself was clean, comfy, and well-equipped, and the location couldn’t have been better. Everything was within walking distance—great local restaurants, cosy cafes, and of course, the beautiful cathedral just around the corner.

Would definitely stay again next time we’re in Bendigo. Thanks for the warm hospitality!

Great location, King suite room was fantastic for us all giving us plenty of room. Beds very comfortable and clean and well fitted out. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again.

I’m very happy with my stay at Cathedral Motor Inn!

The location is excellent — right next to the Sacred Heart Cathedral, just a 4-minute walk to the Central Deborah Gold Mine and about 12 minutes to the Bendigo city centre. Super convenient, yet quiet and peaceful.

The room was spacious, very clean, and well-facilitated. The included Wi-Fi was stable and fast, which was a big plus.

The young gentleman at reception was incredibly friendly and helpful. I arrived around 4:30 PM as the last guest of the day, and he welcomed me with a big smile. When I asked for a better view, he quickly arranged a second-floor room with a stunning view of the cathedral — beautiful both in daylight and at night.

Only downside: there’s no elevator, so guests with mobility needs or heavy luggage should request a ground floor room.

Overall, a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!

I visited Bendigo for a photography workshop and arrived at the Motel by taxi from the railway station - about 10mins drive. Too far to walk with luggage. Reception was friendly, and despite being a public holiday weekend, after discussions about mobility, they arranged an alternative room. I wasn't aware there were upper floor rooms. Luckily, my return stay took into consideration access issues. My second stay was in room 29 and backed a nearby park area. A spacious room with all needed for a comfortable stay. Comfortable beds, pillows and bedding (electric blanket for cold nights). Electric kettle, fridge, iron, hairdryer, towels and toiletries. Everything clean and well maintained. Easy walking distance to several eateries - Beechworth Bakery, Oya's Turkish Kitchen, and Malayan Orchid (fine dining). I thought Beechworth was local, isn't. Next time I'll buy from Gilles bakery. Literally next to the Catholic Gothic revival cathedral. Short walking distance to Information Centre and city centre. Reception 8.30am to 6pm with option to drop off room key near reception. Getting to there from railway station wasn't an issue, but, my prebooked taxi failed to arrive. When I rebooked, saw the job being registered then declined even though the taxi driver was nearby. Luckily, another driver took the job even though it was a short distance back to railway station. Would stay here again - quiet location despite being on main road, good value.
