I’m receiving meals from Catercare whilst in a rehab facility. Staff come around each morning to take orders for the following day or you can order using a simple online facility. This is all good. However, when meals arrive the content often bears no match to what was ordered, mostly with items missing.
Surely there should be a simple checkoff prior to the order leaving the kitchen area to ensure that it matches the order. Such little things one should EXPECT Catercare to get right.

Grandmother and Jesmond Miranda has dry non nutritional meals at dinner time. No gravy or sauces. Food looks like it’s prepared for dogs. Don’t think that they have employed a real chef. Very unhappy

They definitely do not deliver what they promise. Tinned fruit is delivered when they promise fresh fruit. Cheap fish (probably impirted and days old). They take the shortcut in every possible way and did not notify the nursing home. I not expect my grandma to be served such poor quality food.

Pretty cool photos they have for their cover photos on google. Too bad they are probably stolen.

I would like to acknowledge the professional way Cater Care has dealt with my concerns I raised previously.
Thank you very much for listening and discussing the issues and keeping me informed.

I have observed the residents of the village are really enjoying the meals.

I would also like to complement the Cater Care staff where my mother resides. They are very warm and caring and have handled this situation in a very professional manner.

My mother is a resident in an aged care facility who use the Cater Care company to provide meals to the residents.
The food served is in NO way as described and shown on the Cater Care website.
The owners/ Executive of Cater Care should be embarrassed at the standard of food that they are serving to our loved ones.
The food served is mostly very cheap produce and often not as described on the daily menu. For example, fresh fruit salad is actually cheap tinned fruit with the odd very small cube of watermelon thrown in. Ice cream is of very poor quality - it melts very quickly and ends up a bowl of runny white frothy liquid. The fish served is Basa, a Vietnamese farmed catfish. Soup for the evening meals appears to be either out of a packet or tinned. Fresh fruit (beside the bananas), is poor quality and often unripe. How is an elderly resident with limited dexterity or poor cognitive ability, dentures supposed to manage to consume this sort of fruit,
To anyone needing a catering company, PLEASE BEWARE OF CONTRACTING TO CATER CARE. THEY DO NOT DELIVER WHAT THEY PROMISE!

If i could give less than one star i would
Extremly dissatisfied with the low level of freshness with the food. Was promised the highest quality care with a nutritional balanced diet but have received none of that..
Canned fruits. Imported fish. None of which i believe is beneficial to healthy brain function, especislly for my grandma that has dementia. I really hope some changes are made, considering the costs that our family pays.

My Mother is at Thomas Holt retirement village. Afternoon tea today was a dry Sao Biscuit with 2 cubes of cheese.
This is appalling. The weekend Chef has no food safety knowledge and it is only a matter of time till someone dies from his bad practices.
BUT no Manager in Cater Care cares about his in competence. Darren. Wayne. No one....
