Gold Coast Catch a Crab and Fishes Tour Review

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I recently had the absolute pleasure of going on the Catch a Crab and Fishes tour on the Gold Coast, and I can honestly say it was one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had in a long time!

From the moment we arrived at the tour's starting point, we were greeted by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Their enthusiasm was contagious! They took time to explain everything about the tour, including safety procedures and what we could expect during our time on the water. It was evident that they were passionate about marine life and crabbing, which set a positive tone for the entire day.

The tour began with a scenic cruise through the beautiful waters of the Gold Coast. The views were stunning, with lush mangroves and wildlife all around us. I truly appreciated the opportunity to soak in the natural beauty while learning about the ecosystem. Our guide shared fascinating insights into the local wildlife, discussing the various species that inhabit the area and the importance of sustainable practices in fishing and crabbing.

Once we arrived at the crabbing grounds, the excitement was palpable! We were divided into small groups, each equipped with crab traps and all the necessary gear. The staff provided us with tips on how to set the traps effectively. It was thrilling to wait and see what we might catch. To our delight, we managed to catch several large crabs, which felt like a huge achievement. The thrill of reeling in a big one was an experience I'll never forget!

Another highlight of the tour was fishing in the local waters. Each participant had the opportunity to try their hand at catching fish. The crew was incredibly helpful, providing bait and instructions for those of us who may not have much experience with fishing. I ended up catching a nice-sized bream, which was exhilarating! It felt fantastic to connect with nature and learn new skills in such a beautiful setting.

Throughout the trip, we were offered plenty of refreshments, including delicious snacks and drinks. The atmosphere was relaxed and fun, encouraging camaraderie among the participants. I loved chatting with fellow guests and sharing stories of our catches.

As the day progressed, the crew demonstrated how to cook and prepare the crabs we had caught. They even engaged us in a little taste-testing session, which was absolutely delicious! Savoring the fruits of our labor after a day of crabbing and fishing made the experience even more satisfying.

One of the aspects I appreciated the most was the emphasis on sustainability. The crew talked about responsible fishing practices and the importance of preserving marine life for future generations. It was refreshing to see a company that genuinely cares about the environment.

Overall, the Gold Coast Catch a Crab and Fishes tour exceeded all my expectations. It was a perfect mix of adventure, education, and relaxation. The staff were fantastic, the scenery was breathtaking, and the memories we made will last a lifetime. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun day out on the water! Whether you're a seasoned fisherman or a complete novice, you won't regret this wonderful experience. Can’t wait to come back for another round!

This might be the best trip of my journey. The whole trip was about two and a half hours. Each activity was very enjoyable, and the captain was very handsome and humorous, the assistant was stunningly beautiful. The only downside was that the fishing time was a bit short. Nevertheless, I highly recommend everyone to come here and enjoy an unforgettable and wonderful experience.

P.S. It seems that your official Instagram account was broken. In that case, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share the Instagram account of the captain and the assistant. I'd love to connect with them directly and continue following their journeys. Thank you in advance!"

Too much excitement with feeding the fish / birds, the cruise, fishing, catching our baits in the water, pulling the cage out of the water for the crabs, and of course the highlight was eating all the crabs! So much fun and so yummy! It wasn't cheap (average $160 per person for 3 hours, including food) but time will spent! The manager and crew members were so nice and helpful. It was just 'our luck' to be on the full boat with the international students......

Very great experience. Catch a crab was very unique and special. Booking in advance is a must.

Main focus was to catch a crab. Pumping yabbis and oyster farm visit was depend on tide condition. This round we missed yabbies and oyster farm. But pulling the crab trap out of water and saw the crabs trapped inside the trap was eye opener. Listened to commentary about oyster, crab and fishing was interesting.

The only cons is the transport. Coming from gold coast surfers paradise must booking with uber about AUD60 per way for 40 minutes. But return trip was very challenging. No uber want to take us from this remote location. There was a bus station in the entrance road of catch a crab tour but the bus only operate one to 2 trip per day. End up We need to walk 1km to nearest bus stop and take a 601 bus to nearest city then take another bus 700 to broadbeach South station. The return trip took us 2 and a half hours include walking, waiting time, transit and bus duration.

Fun place to do some activities and defintiely kids friendly. We were pulling out crab trap, bird feeding, catching yabbie, fishing (despite got none) and a bit of crab knowledge from the team. I would recommend you to purchase the lunch too. Especially if you enjoy crab. They serve you a freshly cooked seafood and I absolutely enjoy the delicacy.

Another note is, if you afraid of motion sickness, the boat is running on river that has no wave, I am a bit sensitive with motion, but felt nothing while I was on board.

We had the most fantastic experience going on the Catcha Crab tour. I honestly don’t know what was better, the customer service from the exception tour guide or the activities themselves. We felt that our host made a point to connect with us and engage with us personally during the morning, enhancing the experience. It was a fun day out for the whole family, regardless of age, everyone enjoyed themselves. From feeding birds, pumping for yabbies, fishing and of course, catching crabs, the morning was action packed and very well timed. We never felt rushed or too much time was spent in one area and not another. We learnt so much too.
