Ordered the salad and received a bowl of cut up cabbage, no pine nuts or dressing as per the menu. I added grilled chicken which was extremely dry and had to pay an extra $14.
My partner got a schnitzel but it was half the size of a normal pub schnitzel.This is the second time we have been disappointed here. I thought the sign said it was under new management. We won’t be back!!!!

Use to be a great pub, now i'm met with overpriced food for little or inconsistent portions. Great location, menu items are good (apart from the above issues), each room in the building is different creating a weird vibe. Draws in a nice and friendly crowd, workers/bartenders are very respectful and good at their job. When compared to other pubs in balmain/rozelle or local inner-west suburbs, there is no reason to come here unless it’s within 200m walking difference. Overall, the main issue revolves around the cost of drinks and food - overpriced in regards of quality, consistency - especially when compared to neighbouring pubs within the area.

Great atmosphere in the restaurant, lovely service, pet friendly and good food. The steak and pizzas are delicious. One of those hospo 'local gems'! And I appreciated the personalised follow up 'thank you' email. We'll be back

Just before 8:00 on a Friday when I got here, it’s a small but nice pub, preparing for some live music. Happy to bring my Guinness out to me, sat by the window on a balmy evening. Restored my grumpiness from the bad service at the Riverview Hotel and made me all mellow again.

We had the chicken schnitzel, beef ragu and the meat lover's pizza and all were far better than average. I would honestly recommend this place if you are in the area and want a nice lunch.

Don’t bother… food portion inadequate. Not cooked well and basically sub-standard. Very disappointing.

The location and vibe were great and the food was delicious!
Went for the Sunday lunch special and it did not disappoint - particularly loved the Jenntini cocktail!

Food was extremely basic and awful.....my root burger was literally a beetroot burger out of a packet from Coles.....served with tough under ripe tomato'uneatable thick raw red onion rings and a garlic sauce that tasted off.....chips cold and my husbands steak in steak sandwich was so underdone almost raw... to top this experience off our glasses of Rose had sediment all in the bottom of the glass clearly detergent remnants from the dish washer.....never will we dine here again chef needs some severe training on good pub food.
