Casa Nostra Motel Mackay - Mackay, Queensland

I was on my way to Gold Coast, my next stop was Rockhampton, unfortunately my son became unwell and we had to divert to Mackay Base Hospital.
I called directly to Motel, I believe I spoke with Mahesh. He was really helpful, and sorted the keys to be picked up around 9 pm in the night.

The rooms were clean, tidy, the bathroom and toilet were also clean.I am a picky person, and choose cleanliness over everything, and would give a 5 star for tgis. The motel is close to all basic amenities. The place was quiet, the beds were comfier, had a small fridge, a microwave and aircon in the room.

Recommendation: In near future if the motel undergoes any makeover, having ceiling fan will be great.

Good rooms and location easy check in and out though the shower was rather dirty as well as the back of the bathroom door.

Very poor if I could give it a 0 i would has i walked into casa nostra and straight up asking for my ID and having to ring the boss to see if I was aloud to stay there.i was trying to make conversation with the lady and she was just down right so rude towards me saying" well go stay there then" all I was trying to do was make conversation and that's the way she speakes back to me I could see that she didn't want me to stay due to my looks and should never judge a book by there cover.I am hard working family man and get spoken to like that is not very nice 😢 make me sick how ppl are like this

For the last 3 weeks we have stayed at many different motels along the east Coast in Queensland and Casa Nostra was by far the worst Place of them all. The room, the floor, the walls, the bathroom, the refrigerator … everything was dirty. The staff was very friendly and gave us another room, but it wasn’t much better. Sorry to say, but this is no where near a 4 star motel

Stayed for 6 days for training.
The rooms didn’t get serviced and there’s no door sign to request servicing.

Bar fridge, microwave, kettle, and toaster provided, but no cooking facilities.
Plates and cutler were provided in the drawers but had dead bugs on them.

The motel is right on the highway and 1.5km from the airport runway. So you get traffic from both till late at night.

Walls are very thin so hopefully you get quiet neighbours, mine weren’t.

Air conditioning needs to be cleaned too. Sinuses suffered nightly.

What a dump! was great but since a few month back it seems to have change management, rooms (booked 3 rooms) either of the rooms was cleaned on arrival (dirty and bathroom not been cleaned at all), no cleaning of the room for 4 days we stayed, got new towels after 2 days, but that's it.
Never saw any staff, restaurant closed no breakfast etc.
not worth the money for the service (no service at all)
Had to call back to even get the invoices sent out.

We are family with kids had nice stay for 2 nights.
My kids enjoyed swimming and playing in the pool. Occasional flights landing gives a great view from the pool and pool area

House keeping quality and support staff communication and clarity was great

No concerns and clean new looking place with seamless process for booking, checkin and checkout.

Looking forward to comeback for our next trip.

Used to be good, but new owners or management I think. They charged my credit card before I arrived and tried to tell me they only did it as I walked through the door, yeah right, I hate this practice only used by owner of a certain nationality.
Second there was no backup locking system on the door, security chain long gone and not replaced, considering these aren't, do not copy keys, and thirdly, when I grabbed a water glass, it still showed the lip imprints of the last person who had drank form it! two of the three glasses where filthy. Mackay has a abundance of places to stay, do yourself a favour and don't stay here, I never will again.
