First time here and we were impressed! Loved the decor and the ambience as soon as I walked through the door. Staff were very friendly and professional. I ordered the Chargrilled Octopus, Scotch Fillet Steak… both tender and flavoursome and the Tempura Broccolini as a side! I had the Dolce Cioccolata for dessert… and was impressed when the waiter lit the Brandy creating a bright blue flame. We will definitely return and I would highly recommend!

Carnivore was exceptional from start to finish. As first-timers, we were eager to try it, and it definitely lived up to the hype.

The staff were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and truly made us feel welcome. The owner even took the time to introduce himself, sharing the story behind the restaurant and how his wife is the talented chef. It really added a personal touch to the experience.

We opted for the platter for two, and it was nothing short of delicious. The meat, chicken, calamari, and lobster were cooked to perfection—each bite was a true delight.

Our servers were attentive and answered all our questions about the drinks menu, even providing excellent recommendations for both dessert and cocktails.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making the whole dining experience feel special. Whether you’re looking for top-tier service, mouth-watering food, or just a relaxed, welcoming vibe, this place has it all.

It’s also very family-friendly—perfect for a pre-show dinner, and I can’t wait to bring my mum friends for another visit!

I’ll definitely be back.

Celebrated my brother’s birthday here last night and everything was amazing! Would definitely recommend this restaurant to steak lovers. Service was beautiful as well. Definitely in my top 5 restaurants in Adelaide.

Amazing experience at The Carnivore. The service was excellent and attention to detail was very impressive. Rob the owner came and chatted to us which was so warm and welcoming. Knowing the history makes it so special. Of course the food was incredible. Our eye fillet were cooked perfectly and the steak toppers were a meal in it self. So delicious and absolutely loved the atmosphere of the restaurant including the decor. The wine glasses were beautiful and we would love to buy them so hopefully next time we can do that. Thanks Rob and Teresa for a wonderful meal and experience. A credit to you both 🥰

I visited this restaurant after trying the one in Henley Beach. Surprisingly, it was quite different from what they served there. I ordered the medium-cooked Eye Fillet with gourmet mushrooms and truffle-infused mash. It was satisfying to watch the chefs cooking through the clear kitchen window while waiting for my dish. The delicious aroma only raised my expectations even more. Voila! My expectations were definitely met. The dish was absolutely amazing. The meat was perfectly cooked, the mash was full of rich flavor and had an elegant truffle aroma, and the mushrooms were done to perfection.

P.S. Unfortunately, their Henley location has already closed.

Absolutely amazing food ! Everything we ordered was delicious. The customer service 12 out of 10! Everyone was very attentive, and made the night a great experience. We could not recommend The carnivore enough and will definitely be back again !

We recently visited Carnivore restaurant and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere had a nice, vibrant vibe that made the dining experience enjoyable. The food itself was quite good, we (2A2C) ordered a starter platter, Mix Grill Platter and dessert platter. I like all the platter options, so easy to order. 🙂

The entree platter serving as a nice start to the meal, though the waiting times were a bit too much. We waited about 30 minutes for the entree platter, and waited another 40-50 minutes for the main, the mixed grill platter. In this platter, we actually enjoyed all the food, especially the tempura broccolini.

As to the dessert platter, the lemon tart was the highlight, we really liked it, something different to a usual lemon tart, sour, sharp and light, just amazing. The letdown was the chocolate dessert, the fire presentation looked cool, but it burned the base tart of the cake.

Overall, it was a good dinner experience, but for the total price of over $400, I would expect much less waiting time between meals.

Mother n law wanted to try Carnivore for Mother's day and was all our 1st time eating here.

Have to admit it was a good choice 👌 the whole family loved the food , ambience & atmosphere of the restaurant.

Robbie the owner and his wife were beautiful people and made my mother n law feel so inviting and loved the day with her family.

On top of great service Robbie gave our large family discount on ours meals and even gave us a free after dinner drink (Montenegro) which my brother n law & I just loved this drink and it made me go out buy it as well for own dinner parties to share in future.
