I generally always have my dog with me and this is by far the nicest room I've stayed in with my 4 legged friend. Clean, fresh and a couple of inexpensive items, that really gave it a cozy homely feeling.
There were no plates, pots pans, cutlery etc. 2 cups for tea/coffee and a couple of glasses in the bar fridge. Extra blanket and pillow.

Upon arrival, we had to ring the bell, we were told to wait a few minutes, 15 minutes passed, and still no sign of the owners. I rang the bell again, and the guy answered and said, "Oh, you're still waiting?" I said yes, he said my wife came by and couldn't see anyone. I explained where we were parked. They said the room is open and the key is inside. Why we had to wait, i do not know.Inside the room, there were cobwebs with insects collected in them. There were loads of tiny ants on the counter when we arrived. Stains in the cupboard draws that resembled male juices 🤢.The picture on the wall above the bed was upside down...There was curdled milk in the fridge. The AC was extremely mouldy. There were 2 mould patches on the mattress when we took the sheets off before checking out. 10/10 would not stay again.

We were very disappointed in our stay. there were limited choices available in town due to the road being closed due to flooding so we got what was left; a family room. room was clean upon entering but had a strong chemical smell. We were by the pool but that was an eye sore as it was not functioning and looked murky. we noticed quickly how little sound proofing there was in the room. We could easily hear neighbours especially when they were outside their room and music from restaurant nearby was loud and thumping. The music did stop quite early though so that was ok. The major problem we had was we had a situation with what i think were ghost ants (after trying to identify them from internet ). i was laying in the bed reading and said to my husband i felt like something was crawling on me. i soon after noticed this very small bug crawling on my arm. i freaked out and inspected the bed to find two more on top of the bottom sheet. i wanted to leave and go elsewhere but we had taken a sleeping pill. There was no infroamtion in room of who to call if there was a problem (didn’t have an information sheet that is usually found in motel rooms of how to contact someone) i went to the bottle shop which is where we checked in but it was closed. i ended sleeping in one of the other twin beds in room and did not see any more bugs but i didn’t sleep well and felt anxious about it. The next morning my husband also found a roach in the bathroom. i reached out to the motel and explained our situation via email but was told it was too late as i needed to get someone to help to resolve the issue at the time ( i had tried to do this unsuccessfully). they did apologize and offered us to come back to stay again for a complimentary stay but would not refund any portion of the room for our troubles. We were just passing through so no way to take them up on offer but i would not want to stay again anyway after our experience here. My advice is try a different place in Cardwell

I booked in, the rooms air-conditioner was black with mould and smelt musty, I didn't use. The complimentary soap was already opened, the floors were sticky. No noise reduction from traffic noise or other guests. Very noisy. I would not recommend.

Cardwell is a little paradise where this hotel is located. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and spacious. Box type air-conditioning is noisy but apart from that, everything else is fantastic.

Staff were good. Rooms are average. Restaurant is handy. Decent bed, but didn't sleep well for my 2 night stay due to inconsiderate people staying / living in neighbouring rooms. Tables with cigarette trays incourage people to sit outside your room and smoke, which comes under the door and fills your room with smoke. Based on this experience I wouldn't recommend it, there are nicer stops in town that are more peaceful.

Stayed at the lyndock hotel during the floods i used two work for dave .
He was charging everyone $100 a night.
Good old was charging me $125 a night.
Dave will probably say he didn't do that but I have bank statements to say otherwise.
He still owes me a days pay.
Instead he ended kicking me out of the motel with no were else to go i lost everything in the floods.
Most of the rooms were still stuffed from yassi.
He ended up closing all the rooms down because of mould.
Now he will get more insurance money and stick it in his pocket again.

Great location with an attached bottle shop. IGA is located just opposite side of the road which is really handy. Friendly and helpful staff.
