We stayed here for 1 night before our Hinchinbrook Island hike. The room and bed was small, but had everything we needed. They are also very clean rooms. The outdoor front balcony areas aren't really separated, and there was other guests hanging around outside our room when we arrived. They aren't the most private, as we were also woken up early by a neighbour shouting loudly right outside our door. The location is gorgeous however, right on the beach front. A lovely little motel, we would stay here again!

Older building, but clean, well priced, and staffed by nice people. Super location next to the water, but crocs inhabit the area so don't plan on going swimming unless it's in their pool. An outdoor table with a couple chairs for each room was a really nice touch, giving you somewhere to hang out outside when the weather is nice.

There was a fridge, microwave and kitchen sink in our room, and some basic kitchen supplies like plates, cups, utensils, etc. Wifi worked fine on our phones, but we couldn't stream shows on the TV for some reason. That gave us the opportunity to experience Aussie commercials, which can be pretty funny, and just as repitious as they are in the US. 😂

As long as you don't need silk sheets and 5 star accommodations, this place will do great for an overnight, or long stay. Plus, they have a nice cat that wanders around and greets you! 😁

Amazing location and very friendly hosts. The room felt generous sized and clean. Take a headlamp and stroll down the waterfront to the pier at night to see Baramundy chasing the little Garfish, just stay out the water. It's a great place to watch the sunrise over Hinchinbrook Island.

We came across this lovely quirky motel during our road trip which ended in us staying here for two nights due to the road going South being closed. Rooms were comfy and clean, and the hosts were friendly, so welcoming and helpful. Hopefully visit again under better circumstances.

Fabulous motel right on the waterfront, a short jaunt from a variety of cafes, pubs, and restaurants. The rooms have everything in them you could want, including a handy kitchenette. They are very well maintained and clean. Friendly owners. Nice little deck and pool. We enjoyed it so much we decided to come back a week later! Cardwell is such a relaxing little town.

We stayed in the room facing the ocean - what an amazing view!! The room was very clean and is an ample size. The bed is very comfortable and the shower is large, with great water pressure. This is a quiet and relaxing property. Highly recommended.
