I recently had the pleasure of taking a cruise on the Captain Proud Paddle Boat along the Murray River, and it was a wonderful experience! The boat itself has a unique charm with its vintage paddle wheel design, capturing the essence of the river’s rich history. The scenic views were breathtaking, showcasing lush landscapes and wildlife along the riverbanks.

The crew was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, offering insights into the history of the area, which made the journey even more engaging. The onboard meal was delicious, featuring fresh, local ingredients that highlighted the region’s flavors. It was the perfect setting for a relaxing day on the water, whether you’re looking to unwind or learn more about the Murray River.

Mother's Day sunset river/dinner cruise was a beautiful relaxed way to end the day. The menu was fantastic, the meals were delicious with generous servings. The staff went above and beyond with their wonderful hospitality, nothing was too much to ask. The Captain was professional and knowledgeable, the live music was fantastic. The boat has some wonderful character and old world charm.
All in all a great evening, highly recommend for locals and visitors

A wonderful day spent, Captain and staff very friendly & welcoming, from boarding the boat to leaving. Nothing was too much trouble. Lunch was fantastic & very filling with a glass of wine. Commentary was fantastic, I learned so much about the river. A great day out with friends or going solo. I'm definitely doing it again. Thank you 😊

The lunch was terrible so do not expect much. It came out v late at 2pm, was overcooked & gravy was like glue.
The crew were v friendly & the captain was knowledgeable re the river history. If u just want to enjoy time on the river it was ok. Skip the lunch.

Wow - what a great day spent out with family! There were six of us and they so kindly allowed us to sit outside so we could enjoy the nature, breeze and sunshine. The staff are SO friendly and helpful - offering us blankets for when it got windy, giving us a back up option of an inside table and tending to us promptly and with so much kindness.

As for the boat, it has so much character and charm! A gorgeous paddle boat that has aged well, and offers its patrons a comfortable and enjoyable leisurely cruise up and down the river!

The food was great! Hearty meals made fresh and quickly. The apple crumble was UNREAL! Can’t fault the food at all and there is options for everyone (vegetarian, gluten free etc)

The bar and drinks menu was vast. They have locally sourced wines of great quality and a good range of beers, cocktails and softies. I must say I had a coffee to start the trip so the variety was great. Reasonable prices too!

Overall, we loved the whole experience. I must admit some reviews made us weary but can honestly say that we’re not sure what they were on about! Such a memorable and enjoyable experience for our whole family and we are definitely coming back for a night time cruise next time.

It was such a lovely experience and a fantastic way to spend 3 hours. The staff are so lovely and helpful.
Really cool getting to see the paddle boat run from the window in the women’s toot.

Even though my fish looked a bit sad it was still actually very yummy which took me by surprise because I wasn’t sure with how it looked but it was perfect and tasted delicious.
I was a little disappointed that the chives were dried and not fresh because that would have been visually pleasing and it would have added to the flavour more.

But overall a great experience!
