Definitely coming back next year and bringing some warmer clothes. Overall good rodeo got so many beautiful photos and even better videos 😍. Did get a bit crowded and lots of alcoholic litter everywhere but other than that really enjoyed my time there

This is our 3rd year coming and we had an awesome time. Variety of food was amazing. Rides for the kids are always a big hit. Does get a bit overcrowded and drinks line can be too long but we plan ahead and it works for us. Can’t wait til next year!

A great event for all, whether it be your first rodeo or a seasoned veteran. Atmosphere is spectacular and as the sunsets over the hill the rodeo truely comes to life. Good friends, cold beers and a good feed whilst watching some unreal bull riding.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Rodeo Tradition Worth Keeping!

I’ve been going to the Canungra Rodeo every single year since I was a child minus COVID and now at 26, I’m proud to share the tradition with my own child. There’s something so special about the energy, the community spirit, and the real Aussie country vibe that makes it feel like home every time.

From the thrilling rodeo events to the family-friendly atmosphere, it’s a day that brings people of all ages together. The food stalls, live entertainment, and friendly faces make it more than just a rodeo, it’s a memory-making day we look forward to all year.

Whether it’s your first time or your 20th, Canungra Rodeo never disappoints. Can’t wait for the next one we’ll be there, front row as always! 🐎🤠💛

Tickets way over sold, waste of my money. Could’ve halved the amount of tickets for sale & doubled the price. You still would’ve sold out and it would’ve actually been an enjoyable event. The front area before the dirt path needs to be picnic rugs only & no standing, with chair seating starting half way up the hill. No one could see anything beyond the first row so a bunch of people were standing to try to get a look, which then meant even less people could see and the problem only worsened throughout the event. We left early because we didn’t feel like being squished in like sardines with no view anyway

This is a true community event! We look forward to the local rodeo every year, it never disappoints. The atmosphere is unbeatable, friendly faces, great vibes, and non stop entertainment. The lives music, exciting events and welcoming community spirit make this a highlight of the year. HUGE shoutout to the countless volunteers who make this happen every year, without them, we wouldn’t have these amazing community events.

This was my first rodeo experience and based on 12 July probably my last. It was disorganized from the get go; in a car with a disabled permit (correctly displayed) we were directed to the hill parking area. It was only when we asked if there was disabled parking that we were allowed to go to that area (volunteer claimed not to see the permit - but it was clearly displayed). We had printed our tickets and went to the first window, only to be told to line up (but even that was slightly confusing because there was more than one window and lines were organically forming). Once we lined up in the correct area, we were directed back to the original window to collect our wrist bands, then another window to collect the prepaid drink tickets. Finding a place to sit - well therein laid another problem; but we squeezed into a spot only to have crowds stand on the path overlooking the performances (which also blocked the big screen). Security did their best I suppose, but by the time he cleared one lot it just filled up again so I think they gave up trying to clear out the path. Drinks ran out before we could use our tickets. I think if there were big screens higher up at either end of the rodeo then everyone would've been able to see. As it was - we people watched, looked at some of the action through the iPhones of those standing in front, or just chatted amongst ourselves. The PA system was appalling - couldn't hear clearly where we were sitting (we were waiting to hear one of the kids in the U12s but missed it). I think with a few organisational assessments then this could be a really great event?

Disappointed 🙁 I hyped this event up to my friends and family and I was left looking like a fool when we turned up on the day and were packed shoulder to shoulder with people, couldn't move at all or see ANYTHING! This really removed all the joy from the day...
I was looking SOOO forward to the variety in this event of the barrel racing and calf roping instead of the standard bull riding like every other rodeo.
Unfortunately we had to leave the event not long after arriving due to the issue of too many people and not enough venue space. Some of my family became too overstimulated and there was just nowhere to take them with less people where we could still watch the event so we just couldn't stay... We'll be sticking to rodeos way out west from now on where they dont get oversold like crazy.
I really hope the numbers for this event are capped at a LOT less in the future, until then we won't be returning 💔
