We had a work event here which was executed with exceptional organization and professionalism. The staff were notably accommodating, and the quality of the food was outstanding. The extensive range of vegetarian options was particularly impressive. Overall, we had a very good experience!

My parents are patrons of this RSL club, so they wanted to treat myself and my husband to lunch. Surprisingly the food was very good albeit a little cold. The portions, taste and value are honestly better than most RSL clubs.

The schnitzel was cooked perfectly, fish was flaky and the curry of the day was very flavoursome. The fries unfortunately were cold and the wedges were mediocre at best.

Food presentation is quite sloppy, and the salad was merely a few morsels of salad leaves and onions.

For dessert we had a variety of cakes, carrot, blueberry cheesecake, passionfruit cheesecake, tiramisu and black forest. They were all delicious. My personal favourite was the passionfruit cheesecake.

Staff were friendly, atmosphere was pleasant. As for the gambling aspect, I cannot comment as I did not gamble here.

Overall I would recommend this RSL for a quick lunch or dinner with your parents.

Note to chef, presentation and side dishes really do make a difference. My rating would have been a 4 possibly a 5 star had the plating, food temperature and sides been better. The foundations are all there, it just needs to be better executed.

My local always has a pleasant atmosphere BJ at the front desk is always welcoming and cheery . With a wide range of food types to choose from but not necessarily cheap for a RSL.Plenty of Big Screens to watch your preferred sport on.

The price to join was cheap... At 6 p.m., there was NO ODE to the fallen that takes place in every RSL club all over the country... I found this very rude and disrespectful to those who've served and died for this country...

As for the food... I got the Baby Back Ribs. Let's say that I can cook them and make them taste better than what was served last night...
The membrane was NOT removed from the back of the ribs, as it should be... They had absolutely NO flavour, and there was still the sludge from boiling the ribs on them... The sauce was clearly an afterthought as it didn't stick to the ribs like it should...

Maybe someone needs to head to "The Sherlock Holmes" British Pub in Melbourne to learn about cooking ribs properly (I was there last Thursday night and those ribs were cooked right the sauce clung to the meat and every bite was delicious)...

Also a salad needs more than 1 cherry tomato cut in half and way to much extra strong red onion and carrot as garnish for the over abundance of mixed lettuce leaves... Salad should also include cucumber and capsicum if nothing else...

Dessert was the chocolate fondant and that wasn't half bad...

The restaurant manager really needs to step up. The staff are doing their best, but the experience was disappointing. My friend and I ordered a platter, and after waiting over 30 minutes, only half the food was fresh and hot (tenders and pork belly bites), while the nachos and chicken wings were stone cold.

When it came to dessert, the issue got worse. How can you sell a cake that’s not even listed in your system (Mars Bar cake) and have no way to manually enter the price? I was initially charged $7.80 for a more expensive New York cheese cake because the Mars Bar cake wasn’t on the till. After pointing it out, another staff member had to step in and correct it, charging $6.90 for some other cake instead.

I understand it was a busy night, but the overall experience was far from acceptable.

Limited choice ofish, thevusual frozen fare, cakes ok Friendly ladies behind counter, Asian choices also. Many events/shows with plenty parking & good service. If u r not fussy abt ur meals, good venue, central, renovated.
