Delicious food, great staff. After a long day of travel and heading to accom in a town with no services, we hoped the Canowindra would be decent. Exceeded hopes, wish it was my local. Had the snitty and the sirloin. Thanks.

If love a decent country pub then put this place on your list.
From the moment we stepped in the staff were terrific. Polite, witty and friendly.
The place was very clean and well looked after. This extended to the "personal relief rooms"(loos), which were the cleanest I've experienced in ages! (Ditto from the missus.)
Wine selection was quite good, a step up from most.
A few excellent craft beers available as well, so gets a tick from me!
Menu is quite reasonable, not huge, but quite enough to satisfy most.
Food ordered was excellent and quite a step up from a lot of pubs I've visited within the last year.
Empty plates were cleared quite quickly which something I do appreciate.
We visited the Monday before ANZAC day, where most businesses were closed at most towns along the way, however, we were thankful the Canowindra Hotel had the good foresight to open.
Plenty of parking, either on street or around the rear.

16 person table, all eating and drinking, first kids meal out in 15 minutes, 1-2hr plus wait for others food, half orders coming out. Three meals missing into 2hr+ wait, every other person who came in after us ate before we did. Notified staff of their oversight, and they proceeded to serve one of the missing meals, then every other tables order apart from our missing 2 meals. Notified the staff yet again 20+ mins later and the last meals turned up some 2.5hrs after they were ordered. No apology, no offer of a refund or any form of compensation, we all stopped spending our money there after this and moved to another venue! Unlikely to return i would say,

Popped in for lunch and was surprised how lovely the back garden was to sit and eat we had a chicken ceasur salad and a chicken burger and was watching all the lovely meals coming out, we really enjoyed our lunch and the beer was crisp and cold would definitely recommend visiting this hotel.
