Having been regulars of Casterton Caravan park for grand final weekend for a few years now, often multiple visits a year. This Labour Day weekend is our first since CMCA took over, and could well be our last.
Custodian snapping at us that dogs must be on a leash at all times, even though our friends perfectly trained dachshund never strays two feet from her and was curled up asleep under camp table beside her. We all took our dogs home as we aren't so far away and had family available to mind them, so we could avoid stress with custodian.
Next day and our kids are sitting at table of camp kitchen playing a board game. They took a short break, custodian came over again to say they can't have board game just sitting there (second vacant table unused for our whole stay). Someone in our camp mentioned about us having taken dogs home, her reply was we should have kept the dogs and taken kids home.
In short, we feel on edge being here with this caretaker. Put the Caravan park back in the hands of the council!

Stayed at Penola CMCA at Easter for three nights. My son stayed two nights. All booked and paid for in advance. Lady on the phone said to make sure they give you spots close together. Parked my car in a vacant spot opposite ours to reserve it shortly before my son arrived. Custodian told me to move my car saying it's 'first in'. When I refused saying my son would be here soon I was told to leave the park. My son, his wife and child arrived (booked in and paid for) yet the Custodian was going to refuse them entry! I had to walk away!! Bit of sweet-talk by my son and things were eventually sorted. It seems booking and paying gives no guarantee a site will be available when you arrive! First and last dealings I'll ever have with this outfit!
In the Custodian's defence, once he got over his 'power trip' he was pleasant enough.

If you want to make sure you contact CMCA and CMCA Roadside Assist to renew your policy every year (no auto-renewal), are willing to pay an extra $100 if you forget and want to join again, and be willing to be pointed in every direction for help when you need it, then this is the company for you!! Just a heads up that CMCA is separate from CMCA Roadside Assist, and both are separate from Ken Tame. You have to pay all three separately. Today, my battery died and I tried to call CMCA Road Side assist, only to be told to call Ken Tame. Then I called Ken Tame, but they told me to call CMCA Roadside assist. Then CMCA Roadside assist told me to call Ken Tame. Then Ken Tame got CMCA on the phone. (You get the picture.) Wow. Needless to say I'm switching ASAP. The last thing I wanted when I was broken down was to be passed around. Surely this can be done better.

Didnt get any benefit when traveling, now when rejoining ($60) to use market place to sell vehicle I find a website that is slow, antiquted and in feet n inches. When loading images in the order they should be viewed ie front vehicle first NOT rear, their system mixes them randomly and displays in a ridiculous order. Ask staff about it and it's "too bad, that's the way it is" To me this shows arrogance and disregard for their paying customers / members practical wishes and demonstrates little understanding of advertising. Then when challenged about the whole scenario it gets too hard for them and membership is cancelled and new membership fees returned, they say and I hope. I have no reason to believe they wont refund. that is not at issue. Their web site, their admin, and their approach is what I share. This is my experience and my views.
