We had a wonderful outback adventure on our camel trek with Karen, Paul and team. They all worked so hard to care for the camels and to cater for the needs of the guests. The riding, camping, meals and company were all fabulous. The camels are very endearing, all with their individual characters.

My wife and I had the most amazing 4 night experience with Karen, Paul and their team. It was rough and raw and a true outback experience. The camels were awesome and the blend of riding, exploring, camping and being around experienced people made us fell 20 again! Highly recommended.

Cannot recommend Camel Treks Australia enough! I chose the cameleers experience and had such a great time working along side the cameleers! Long days with loads of interesting stories from all the staff and not to mention the food, wich was amazing! The cameleers experience can be challenging, but if you are willing to try and want to give a lending hand, then its absolutely worth it. Special thanks to Karen for everything, you've all been amazing!

This was the most amazing experience.
From start to finish the team goes above and beyond to make the trek enjoyable.

All meals where absolutely delicious and they cater for all dietary requirements.
Sitting around a camp fire under the stars and getting to know others in your group was really lovely.

The camels are so beautiful with great personalities.

Our trek was definitely one to remember as my partner and I got engaged.

Overall we would definitely recommend this trek and would love to one day be back to do it again.

What an amazing adventure!
I’d never had anything to do with camels before and I’m really glad I did this trek to learn about these fascinating animals. The (human) team greatly care about their animals and it shows in everything they do. As a result the camels are gentle giants and it was such a privilege to work with them and get to know them.
I can’t say enough positive things about the staff. They worked really hard to make sure all of the guests were well look after and having a great time. Everyone was super helpful and keen to share their love of camels and the geographical area with others. Catering was a standout for me. I’ve previously found I’ve been hungry on other similar tours (I must eat a lot for my size!) but I definitely wasn’t hungry on this trip! The food was tasty and plentiful.
If you are thinking of booking in for this trip my advice is go for it!

A profound outback adventure not to be missed! Karen, Paul and their team are professional, passionate and ethical about their work.
Their approachability and willingness to freely share their knowlege adds to the experience.
The camels have their own personalities and stories. I thoroughly enjoyed my cameleer role trekking our outback!
In addition, great food (even with dietary requirements), and very comfortable swags from which to lookout at the stars at night!

Yesterday was the last day of our Trek! We booked in 2019 but due to Covid we had not been able to get from WA to SA until 2023. I have loved camels all my life and Rob, my husband and I ,had the best 5 day trek of our life. The camp crew were amazing, especially Shirley our cook. I have a major health issue with certain foods ( anaphylaxis) and Shirley made sure every meal was safe and yet delicious. The cameleers were professional, quietly calm and treated the beautiful camels so well. Paul and Karen Ellis the owners have thought of everything to make a trek safe and enjoyable🐪 I would thoroughly recommend these treks to anyone who loves camels, camping in the outback and challenging yourself to do things you probably never thought you could do. I can’t thank the team enough!!
