I would give it 0 stars if I could. After an operation I paid privately for I had the worst standard of care I have ever experienced. I was left to suffer in extreme pain and have 0 sleep the afternoon/night after my surgery due to complete neglect and selfishness by the nursing staff. Out of the 8-10 nursing staff members assigned to me over my stay only 2 had compassion. They all provided conflicting information to me or outright lied about things such as contacting my doctor for sleeping medication which should have been done at 8:00pm but instead they were offering to do so at 4:30am when I still couldn’t sleep. I would never recommend this hospital to anyone.

Standard of care was fantastic, staff seemed to actually enjoy being there. Food was great and the nurses were awesome. Hopefully don’t have to come back for surgery any time soon but a good place to go if I do. The nurses really made my stay easier, cannot thank them enough.

I had a surgery with an overnight stay at Calvary Private in Bruce and I cannot thank all of the staff enough for their professionalism and support during my stay. Everyone was always so kind to me and made me feel so valued and cared for! My nurse Elida was incredible, always showing compassion and professionalism! She was always quick to respond and happy to help in anyway she could! The food tasted great too! I would highly recommend this hospital!

Had a procedure recently at Calvery Private Hospital and the whole experience far exceeded my expectations. I interacted with many of the staff from prep to theatre to recovery and everyone was so generous with their kindness and care - very professional. Highly recommend.

All the staff were lovely, from admission to operating room to recovery.
The hospital is very well equipped and exceptionally clean.
I have had too many hospital admissions in many different hospitals and this experience was 10/10.

I took a friend with advanced dementia in for a procedure yesterday. Every single staff member was so respectful, caring and professional. As a retired RN I have been appalled at some of the stories one hears about hospital care these days. I could not fault the care provided for my dear friend. Thank you to all the staff and the wonderful surgeon Dr Butt.

I recently spent 5 days at Calvary Bruce Private Hospital and I am beyond impressed with my experience. All of the staff seemed really passionate about their jobs and where they work and it makes all the difference. I have a lot of stress and anxiety, which resulted in me becoming quite emotional at times, but the nurses on level 4 went out of their way to help me feel safe and calm. I’m reluctant to try and name them all, because I’ll probably miss someone, but I must give special thanks to Sam, Maddie, Aldrin and Fiona.

The hospital itself is nice and new and the rooms are clean and spacious. My only negative feedback here is that for some reason, the soft light that is installed in each room was missing in mine and there was just a small hole in the wall where the switch belongs. This meant that I had to turn on the full room light if I or a nurse needed to see something at night, but thankfully this didn’t happen often.

The food was excellent and there was a great selection of dishes each day. The dishes are flavourful and good portions with the option of choosing a normal or light serve, I never went hungry that’s for sure! I also found it really sweet that all of the staff genuinely wanted to know if I enjoyed my meal and wanted to make sure you were satisfied. The man that comes with the afternoon tea trolley was also really lovely and engaging. As was the cleaner who dropped by to tidy up my room each morning. She has a really positive energy that’s infectious, even to my anxious self!
