For an overnight stop on the road, I really could not ask for more. Conveniently located between Sydney and Melbourne it’s a great place to pause your journey.

The motel itself is basic, but scrupulously clean and well priced. The owner have done their best to mitigate usual mold/dust issues that plague older motels by removing the carpeting in favour of vinyl floorboards, and limited soft furnishings. The curtains are new, since I last visited.

The showers have also been renovated recently, a huge improvement on what was an already good motel room.

Communication with the team is prompt, informative and the team were very friendly on check in.

I will continue to book this motel for my regular drives between Melbourne and Sydney.
The pub is 700m up the road with a fabulous menu. Highly recommended.

Holbrook is a convenient stopping place for the drive from southern Victoria through to Sydney. One hallmark of the town is the submarine on display in the main street which used to be the old Hume Highway. This motel was quaint in that it reminds one of the motels of the 1960s era. It was however clean and comfortable. The reception was most welcoming and whilst the motel itself is a bit tired it worked well for us and gave a comfortable sleep and bathroom facilities. The rooms are very small but functional. There is no on-site restaurant but the Holbrook Hotel is only just down the road and offers a first-rate dining room having just been refurbished. The menu was good and service excellent. All in all a good stay.

Holbrook offers a truly charming experience with its quiet neighbourhoods and close-knit communities. It's the kind of town where you can genuinely unwind and feel a sense of peace.
During my recent visit, I stayed at Byer Fountain motor inn, conveniently located near the freeway. Despite its proximity to the main road, the motel provided all the amenities needed for a quiet and relaxing holiday. It struck a perfect balance between accessibility and tranquility.
A standout aspect of my stay was the exceptional service provided by Madhav. He was incredibly helpful and friendly to deal with, always prompt in his responses, and always happy to help.

The place is very nice. It's location is very good and very much handy because it's just next to the Hume freeway. The place is very quiet so I definitely suggest and even recommend for holidays or for the overnight stay. Madhav is always looking after his customers by providing his best service. He always ready to solve his customers' difficulty. He is such a gentleman manager. I absolutely give 5 Star to this hotel.

Can not believe some of these review. There is no restaurant. Any food ordered is frozen and then reheated. I ordered bangers and mash. Sausages were edible. Mashed potatoes on par for reheated. The gravy at best was coloured water without taste. The bed was comfortable. Airconditioning had a mind of its own. With cinderblock walls the room was ice cold for ages on arrival. Whilst the kitchenet was passable the shower is beyond tired and best described as comatose. We had room 30 maybe it is the only room in poor condition. Only stayed here as the motel we usually stay at was booked out. Never again.

Excellent customer service from Madhav, the property manager—professional, friendly, and very helpful. The property itself is exceptionally well-maintained, clean, and offers great value for money. Perfectly located for commuters looking for a comfortable stop between Sydney and Melbourne. Highly recommend!

Awesome place, quick access to Hume Highway, quite and super location, as well as awesome service, swimming pool also nice and clean, market place on walking distance a big nice kids play area, wonderful room services, and staff(MADHAV) always ready to help any time.
WE HAVE WONDERFUL TIME AND ENJOY THERE. SO MUCH APPRECIATE TO THE STAFF AND MADHAV.
