Will be returning!! This place was reasonably priced for a small school based group & staff went above and beyond. We were surprised to see the level cleanliness for somewhere that does mainly do school groups. The place is in a great location. The food was wonderful and well catered to kids and adults.

Our school came here for a camp - I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND!! The food was average, the bathrooms were smelly, but worst of all was the rooms. There was old lolly wrappers in the bed, stains on the pillows and blankets, a ladder to the bunk bed had broken off and was just lying on the floor, and there was a gross, large stain in the corner of the room. Please don't come here!

I had recently stayed within this accommodation for 2 nights instead of the 5 nights. This was because this place is disgusting. The rooms were fitted with broken bunk beds held with tape, bodily fluid filled linens, broken and exposed radiators, the carpets were pulling up and the food served was less than impressive. The communal bathrooms were mouldy and full of mildew. There was zero ventilation causing all steam to accumulate with in the bathroom (this lead to us getting sick!) One of the females showers didn’t have a hinge to lock the door while another had multiple hair ties on the floor. The showers had a connecting floors which in turn caused other people soap to run through each others stall. The sinks had mould and we were expected to share a small bar of soap (there was 17 girls) to wash our hands. The rooms were cramped with way too many beds within a singular room. One room did not lock and everyone could just walk in. The window screen had a hole big enough for a person to fit there arm out the window. The first night food served was gross and included raw pasta with a funny tasting bolognaise. We were promised a games room as per the website and when we had asked they had said the games room no longer exists and the website hadn’t been updated. I have a list of many other complaints including staff dismissing our concerns with nothing done. We had given the staff over 6 hours to change the sheets, they had rotated the dirty sheets. I would not recommend this place, when we moved accommodation the reception woman said they had a reputation. For being an “award winning” accommodation, the only award I would give, is the most disgusting. Don’t stay here.

Friendly staff who tried their best and a very convenient location. Unfortunately, the accommodation was grubby and well overdue for maintenance. Much of the linen was stained (see photo), the showers were mouldy (see photos), broken bunk beds were simply taped backed together (see photo), the outdoor soccer area was just dirt and ripped nets (see photo). The kitchen was a haphazard set up, and I wouldn’t be trusting that any food could be prepared safely for coeliacs. Further training in how to cater for dietary requirements is needed - it’s disappointing for lactose free guests to be told that they can’t eat either of the main meal
options and then only be provided boiled white rice and steamed frozen veg for their dinner. Pre-packed lunches were not fresh, with furry cucumber discovered by students on 2 consequtive days. A very disappointing stay.

My school came here for a day trip and were not happy about the state of the accommodation, bloody tissues stuck in the bunk bed, mold on the bed sheets, blood on the bathroom walls, snot and mucus on the walls, the food was disgusting, hair in the food, bacon was dry and tasted like dog treats, my friend was retching after the dinner we ate. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO OTHERS!

Very average, not great food and some of my friends were so hungry from not eating much because they hated the food. The only good meal I had on that trip was when we ate at questacon. VERY squeaky beds that fell apart. Stained sheets and dirty rooms. VERY cramped rooms. Not enough showers. Nice communal areas. TV was way too small for a whole grade crowded around it. Overall fun trip though.

BEST. CAMP. EVER. I really recommend this place for school camp. I had so much fun. Cabins were roomy, bathrooms were clean, and food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! This was the best camp I’ve ever been to. I love how they provide linens so you don’t have to overpack, and the blankets are really warm. They keep the place tidy and neat, and make sure that the linens are all folded before the next school comes. YMCA BUSH CAPITAL LODGE IS THE BEST!
