Genuine service. Thoughtful. Caring. Super helpful. No extra charges, and incredibly flexible. Hired for a week, but returned after a day of buying a new car. No dramas. I'm shocked by their service at Wollongong. My husband rented a car and they just gave it away because we were late. They took our money and no car given. The man was so grumpy and unprofessional. We tried calling they didn't answer so we couldn't alert them that we were running late. There was no courtesy call from them either. Just an invoice to say they've taken our money. With the way the economy is going, money doesn't come by easy and they can just take it from hard working Australians. Unbelievable.
Answer your calls so people could change their bookings and also call when someone is running late. What's happened to customer service.

WARNING DONT USE BUDGET WOLLONGONG..
If could give minus stars I would MINUS FIVE STARS, the customer service here is non existent don't get a car from this place for your RELAXING caravan holiday unless you want to be left in the middle of nowhere with a defective vehicle AND ECPECTEDTO LEAVE YOUR CARAVAN ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE 150KS FROM HOME USE BUDGET , can't believe they expected me to unhitch and leave my caravan
on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere,,, there road side assistance team apart from tina have no personality and treated me like scum, there only option was this ,budget Wollongong said "we will unhitch the caravan leave it on side of road we will take the car to the nearest Isuzu dealer and leave you were we take the car and you fund and make your way home from there wile having a week worth of gear to take away camping generator water heaps of stuff ecpected to leave on side of the road, no option to take me and my van home no replacement vehicle nothing ,
usless company with usless people running it unbelievable company DO NOT USE BUDGET WOLLONGONG tthank god for NRMA insurance otherwise I'd probly still be on the side of the road ,

Rude receptionist very condescending. I was told there is a $400 bond payable upon hiring. No mention on the website or in reminder emails. I hired a trolley but it wasn't a available not sure how that happens.

When my car broke down I needed to have my own transport 24/7 so hired a car from Budget Wollongong. My car repairs have been delayed so have had to extend my hire period accordingly a few times. I can honestly say everyone at Budget has been truly wonderful in all aspects of their service. I would highly recommend.

The guy who checked me in for vehicle pick up on a Saturday morning behaved as though he was doing me a massive favour by coming to work that day. I felt as if I was just an annoyance.

Pricing is not transparent even if you book directly on THEIR website. Look out for extras.

I would have given only ONE STAR due to the utter rudeness of the check in guy, but the guy who was working on the Monday morning for drop off was much friendlier and the drop off was easy and seamless.

It seems as though your experience will be determined by who is working on the day. I hope you get the nice guy!
