Yesterday, my husband and I visited Broaster Chicken in Kogarah. Unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience, mainly due to poor customer service.

We placed our order and waited for over 30 minutes before the food arrived. When I politely asked how long it would take, the staff member completely ignored the question. When our food was finally served, the 6-piece spicy wings were extremely salty, to the point where we couldn’t eat them. We shared this feedback, but instead of any apology or assistance, the staff member (with a long beard) responded with an attitude, saying, “This is our standard.”

We completely understand that taste preferences vary. What was really upsetting was the lack of courtesy, no apology, and no effort to resolve the issue, not even a refund or offer to replace the item.

As customers, we expect basic manners and respectful service. We left feeling unheard and disrespected. I sincerely hope the team reflects on this and improves their service approach. Good food means little without good service. Please learn some manners how to deal with the customers first.

Well its like any other chicken shop and there are many in this area. Its a good thing they open till late. The food is good. I don't really suggest the indian menu they have here. I mean it's good but if you really want to taste butter chicken biryani and so on, its better to find an authentic place that does it. I don't mean to say its bad here. Its kinda like going to a biryani shop and trying their burger.

Food is really good as always but restaurant was packed, people and uber won’t stop coming. Waiting time is really long. I just appreciate the smile and service they give and no grumpiness given with the customers. There was only 2 staff that was catering everyone. I hope the owner can do something about this. Thank you so much.

I had an extremely unpleasant experience as an Uber driver for the first time. I went there to pick up an order. This place is usually calm, with a single worker handling everything efficiently, but today it was unusually busy with numerous deliveries, takeaways, and dine-ins. I waited over 20 minutes for my order, and even saw another driver who arrived after me receive his order first. Thinking it might take longer, I decided to step outside for a smoke. While I was smoking, a staff member I hadn’t seen before informed me that my order was ready. Since I had a cigarette in hand I asked him to wait a moment. However, the man—likely the owner—angrily brought the order outside and handed it to me, demanding I leave immediately. He accused me of trying to make extra money by waiting longer, as he claimed he had to pay me from his side. Shocked by his attitude, I explained that I had already waited long enough and would leave shortly after finishing my cigarette.
Instead of calming down, he began arguing with me, verbally abusing and threatening to rate me poorly on Uber and block me. Despite his aggression, I stood my ground and told him to focus on his job while I will do mine. The usual worker at the shop eventually stepped in to diffuse the situation. It was clear the owner was overwhelmed by the rush and took his frustration out on me.His behavior
was unprofessional and created a scene in front of customers dining at the restaurant, likely ruining their experience as well. Hospitality requires resilience and competence under pressure—qualities this individual lacked. If he cannot handle a busy environment, he should either seek proper training or reconsider his role in the industry instead of disrupting others’ day

Great establishment. There's stiff competition for fried chicken in Kogarah with three very good places all on the same street. Broaster is my favourite.

Their chicken is excellent, good value in comparison its peers, and the staff there frequently offer deals that aren't necessarily advertised. Several times I've gone in fully prepared to buy the accompanying sauces and, unprompted, the staff will throw it in for free or add a second one for free. Obviously don't have the expectation that this will be offered each time but it is indicative of how friendly the staff at the Kogarah branch are.

They're also quite handily open later than most takeaway options in Kogarah, making them perfect for a late night snack.

The food here is great, but the place is chronically understaffed, so everything is so slow. I don't understand why the owner only has 1-2 staff on at a time. The past two lunchtimes I have been (Sunday and Friday) there has either been over 30 mins wait for fried chicken because only one person is rostered or the shop is shutting for lunch so the one staff member can go pray (which is not fair on the staff member). This place is always busy, surely a third person can be employed.

Basically, come here when you have time to pre-order, and be prepared to wait.

Had lunch here today. The food was delicious! I mostly liked the crispy chicken burger which was really big and worth the price! The staffs were friendly too. Looking forward to coming here soon😋😋😋

The promotion is 3 chicken wings for $1, the reality it was chicken nibblets and winglets, false advertisement hey Broaster chicken. The chicken itself is very tasty, crispy and succulent. Indeed better than the fried chicken from the big chain. The coleslaw is the let down, very watery. The chicken burger is Ok, sad looking pieces of chicken and 1 slice of tomato plus lettuce.
