The lady at the reception desk of this place is one of the ruddest people I have ever met. I had a delivery to do to one of the apartments and upon arrival, the customer asked me to leave it at the reception desk. I then proceeded to speak with the receptionist and she was very rude, pointing out that we "delivery people" should have boxes to put stuff in and it wasn't her responsibility to keep it free of damage, even though it would stay there for 5 minutes or less only, clearly making a storm in a glass of water. Very disrespectful manner.

Edit: I don't know how describing a person's physical characteristics can be described as "racist", once it's no other intention but to address the one who caused harm instead of blaiming the whole business (perhaps you guys should learn how to approach someone else, by presenting yourself for example). However, it's being deleted. Either way, the one who posted the reply lies when saying "customer said they were on their way to the lobby", which they didn't, but they did say I could leave the delivery at the front desk, not asking for me to wait downstairs. Perhaps also learn how to talk to others first before being rude and lying just to keep your reputation up. Terrible service.

A Friendly Notice to Future Guests

If you stay here, you may be charged a cleaning fee that was never communicated in advance. We stayed here for 7 nights, paying over $2,100, but were surprised by an $80 cleaning fee charged to our card without prior notice.

Having stayed in various apartments across Australia, we’ve never encountered such a charge for something as minor as leaving a few dishes in the sink or neatly organizing trash bags in one spot. Even if additional cleaning time was required, it would have been no more than 10 minutes. Nevertheless, they claimed this extra time justified the $80, again without any policy or standard being provided beforehand. Despite reviewing multiple emails we received prior to and during our stay, we could not find any mention of such a policy.

We considered this handling inappropriate and requested a refund, but our request was denied.

To add to the confusion, the payment wasn’t processed under the name “Brighton Shores” but under “Dekker Holidays,” which is, I don’t know why, registered to an address in Sunshine Coast with postcode 4564. I hope this information helps future guests.

We’re sharing this experience to ensure others are aware and can make an informed decision. We won’t be returning, as we don’t know what other fees may unexpectedly arise. While we were deeply disappointed with how this property handled the situation, this review is not intended to defame but to serve the public interest.

Not sharing renovation information with potential guest is rude and doesn't make their stay enjoyable. Tried to cancel when we found out by the sign in the lift but the Management refused.

The room had not been cleaned by previous guest or owner. Garbage was not taken out, dishwasher unpacking wasn't done.

Overall I found the staff to be rude and in a world of their own.

Random creepy lady will come up to your kids in the pool area and ask what their unit number is she will claim to be the building manager

Worst management ever. Been stayed at many apartments in Australia. Jill the female manager at desk was rude and always with a long face, and that was the first time that we felt racism did happened in Australia. Asked few questions and with just few assistances. If you don’t feel like to talk to someone nicely, please just let someone else do the job.

We recently spent 10 days holidaying at Brighton Shores. There were a few issues we were disappointed in & have brought this to the attention of the managers. 1. The bathroom sink was blocked & the water couldn't get away when we first arrived. My husband was able to clean it out of hair etc & managed to empty the water. 2. The toilet seat fell off which we had to leave off. 3. The outside chairs had rusty legs so were uneven to sit on. 4. The aircon. filter was clogged up with dirt & dust which my husband had to vacuum (this had to be emptied first) out as it gave me sinus. 5. The bottom sheet had to be changed as it had a large "mildew" stain. No one has contacted us regarding these issues which is a little disappointing. We wanted to base ourselves here for our many getaways during the year but are reluctant at this stage

Our stay in February 2023||||||We believe feedback & reviews are always good so you can improve for other guests.||||1. My husband had to unblock the sink in the bathroom on our first day as the water wouldn't empty.||2. I wasn't able to slide the glass door open onto the verandah as it seemed off the sliders. My husband also had trouble & hurt his shoulder(making 2 Physio appointments to give him relief while we were there) on the first day opening it. We mentioned this to Karen who said she couldn't open it either.||3.. The toilet seat fell off.||4. We had to have the bottom sheet changed & remade as it had large stains (looked like mildew). This was rectified after we brought it to Karens attention.||5. The large (blocked with dust) air vent in the lounge/kitchen area was blowing a dusty smell giving me sinus. My husband sprayed it with a sanitiser & had to suck the accumulated dust out of the vent with the vacuum cleaner.||6. The chairs on the verandah had rusted legs at the bottom which made it uneven when we used them to sit on. This could have caused one of us to fall off the chair.
