Comfortable beds and an outstanding breakfast. Really good value. Rooms were clean and warm. It is basic room with tea and coffee making facilities but no cooking. The breakfast room was clean, fresh and bright. Breakfast is a very generous and extensive continental breakfast and you can option for cooked options at a reasonable extra cost. The management where friendly and helpful too. Overall I was very impressed and it did exceed my expectations. I would highly recommended the Bright Chalet.

I loved this place. I loved that it looked like a Swiss Chalet which you hope to see when visiting Alpine regions. ||The room was a good side. I loved the retro decor. The grounds were lovely. ||The staff were very helpful.||The breakfast was ample. ||The location despite being on the main road leading to the ski slopes, was very quiet. ||It was incredible value.||The added bonus was the ski shop next door which had long opening hours where you could hire your ski needs/toboggans/boots etc.

Arrived to the rest of the accommodation booked out for a school trip. Our room was pleasantly wedged between dozens of loud children. Surprisingly not the worst part. The fire control board alarm went off every hour and I had to manually silience it because no reception would attend to it. I woke up dozens of times to silience it across two nights. Totally unacceptable with no apology, offer of refund or even a mainance call by management. Would not recommend.

Rating this place 1.5 stars for the good location around town.
However, there are some points happened during our stay, hence the low rating.
Firstly, we arrived at the chalet on time for checking-in. There was no one at the front desk but there was a note, phone number was left to call when needed. So I called, asking about check in. There was a guy over the phone and asked us to come back as the staff are still not finished cleaning. I so understand if they didn’t, but to be told in a very unfriendly tone (very unprofessional) was the first red flag of this place.

Secondly, when we got to our rooms, we saw outdated room, large bed was so uncomfortable- it needed to be rotated-I thought. As the head part is sinking, the duvet stinks we didn’t use it.
We had to air out the room, lucky we could open the slide door and close the screen one.

Thirdly, toiletries, when I book for stays I make sure to check if the accommodation provides, it says they do, and yes they did provide single small shampoo and conditioner and two soaps, we are a family of three here, so when you see a family booking you should see to it that toiletries are enough. I went to ask for extra shampoos but these are what the owner told me: The cleaners have left, and we just give one upon arrival, our guests bring their own.
I was shocked to this response as this is the first time I encountered this. I let it be as it is just a freaking shampoo I was asking.
Finally, The BREAKFAST! I was so excited about the buffet breakfast but to our disbelief, it was “continental” breakfast- toasts spreads coffee and tea. No issues here if it was communicated well, it should be written Continental breakfast buffet.
You have to order for extra stuff for breakfast-eggs, bacon, etc.

Overall, For 369 for two nights it is not worth it.
Check out other accommodation around this stunning town of Bright. Skip this, you’ll just be disappointed.

The Bright Chalet was such a blessing: phenomenal service, great dinner and breakfast, and perfect for families. The owner cares for his guests and does whatever he can to make you comfortable, in fact, the entire staff is that way. They gave us great advice for where to visit (we are not from Australia) and what mountain roads to take. The staff was charming and genuine.

The room was very spacious, with a patio deck overlooking a gorgeous green lawn area and pool, decored with paved paths, lounge seating, and a huge chess set for the kids. We loved the food as well; the chef knows what they’re doing! Plus, the slight distance from the center of town gives the Bright Chalet a beautiful peacefulness to it (we personally do not like being near crowds of people), it was like we were on a mountain getaway—with plenty of parking:)
