I often come here due to open space area for kids and have been satisfied every time.

Unfortunately the wait time on Sunday 13/7/25 was beyond the sign board notice of 45 mins (was more like 90)

While the food still came to quality the wait time could be improved. Perhaps due to staff numbers that day who did their best but need more staff to give the kitchen a chance.

Fantastic place for a party, can do all sorts of events and sizes. The food is amazing and the service fabulous.

Play area in total darkness! Drove quite a long way to find 'family friendly' venue not so friendly. Stood by the food ordering hole in the wall, there's no instructions on how to order, got ignored. Walked out to round up a kid, came back to order, told they were closed. Asked what time they closed, got told 8:30 it was 8:20 when I started waiting. Too busy packing up to notice. Then server said what would u like? Serving, food Then he said closed again. WTAF? Who are these people?

Love this place! Great secured outdoor area for the kids with a playground and astro turf. Variety of food which is also delicious!

Great play area for the kids (when it's not raining)! Bring a ball along.

Not much onsite parking but there is parking on the street.

Food is above average. Creamy garlic prawns and white pepper pork (spicy) were great.

Kids cheeseburger I wouldn't recommend - the meat patty was burnt/overcooked and chewy (tasted old) - my 6yo wouldn't eat it.

Staff are friendly and accommodating.

They don't do decaf (although it is on the menu). The hot chocolate tasted more like milk (needed more choc).

Overall, I'd recommend and I'd go back (probably making some different food and beverage choices).

Pretty disappointing visit to Briars Sports. Bar prices are reasonable but the bistro is a noisy mess. Go on a Sunday and the place is teeming with families and kids being left to run amok while their parents chat at tables. A child spilled a drink in the main dining room and ran off creating a hazard. Food all over the floor and tables not cleared.

Bistro ordering staff member was rude. Two burgers were ordered at $22 each. Food took 35 mins to arrive. The chicken burger was not crispy as promised. The coleslaw was the stuff you buy in bulk from the deli at Coles with that thick cream dressing and that was the only flavour you could taste. Was expecting house made slaw. Really uninspiring. Beef burger was ok. The beer battered fries were the only redeeming quality. Cooked to perfection.

Bowling greens in need of TLC. Better bowlos to go to in Inner West unless you want to let your kids run wild for the afternoon and disturb everyone else.

$22 Steak night on Mondays - superbly cooked.

Parkside with live music (The Jets), a nice beer and delicious onion soup, is a great way to relax on a Sunday afternoon.
