Camping at Flinders Ranges for two nights was unforgettable. We arrived just after sunset, the cool air and rustling leaves creating a peaceful stillness. After setting up camp, we sat by the fire, watching a sea of stars appear, the Milky Way arching overhead.

The next morning, we woke up to a misty, peaceful dawn. The mountains were shrouded in fog, and I could barely see beyond the campsite. We hiked up one of the nearby trails later, where unveiled the sweeping vistas of red rock and endless plains. The air was fresh, the wildlife active, and I felt completely immersed in the wilderness. That evening, we relaxed by the fire, our favorite song playing as the sun bathed the landscape in golden light.

The second night was just as magical—cool air, a crackling fire, and the stars dazzling above. It was the perfect escape.

Really great camp site if you are wanting to get away and enjoy the Flinders. There is a long drop toilet (no showers) and the camp sites are nice and spacious. About a 40 minute drive from Wilpena Pound Visitor centre

Great camping area. We had our site booked and payed for to find it already occupied by someone else. It is a question of forfeiting the paid fee. It could also mean having travelled for a 1000 km for nothing or to request campers to leave. A confrontation is not a good idea as you may find yourself alone and there is no phone service to call help. In our case the campers packed up their gear and set up camp elsewhere.
