This is a wonderful honey farm that offers tours, including visiting the beehives in bee suits, and other experiences. It’s located on Retford Park which is a National Trust property.
We had a wonderful time here. Hamish, our guide was so welcoming and friendly. We learned so much from him when it comes to everything regarding bees 🐝 and the different types of honey 🍯. Our experience included scones, tea/coffee, sandwiches/wraps and cut up fruit. It was delicious 😋. We also got to taste test the different honey. Hamish took us for a walk down to the beehives but unfortunately the weather was misbehaving and it rained as we were walking down there and we had to go back. Later on the sun 🌞 decided to come out so I was able to go back down. It’s all situated around a beautiful lake and the scenery is amazing. You can also buy yourself some honey, there’s several different types to pick from. I would definitely recommend a visit, a BIG thumbs up from me. 👍👍👍

Brought our inquisitive, honey-obsessed 4 year old along and loved the session. Probably a bit too much standing and talking for the little ones unless they're very patient, but great for the grown ups. Hamish covered a huge range of facts about bees, from the science to the meta-science. A wonderful wealth of knowledge and so wonderfully welcoming!

The venue is stunning on a sunny autumn afternoon and the tea and tasting time was delightful. All 6 honeys on offer were equally unique and delicious.

Highly recommend to locals and visitors alike.

The bee keeping course was great! The small class allows you to ask lots of questions & throw yourself into a wonderful hands on experience with the bees & the hives. Hamish's wealth of knowledge of bees is endless & was so helpful for us new bee keepers. We walked away feeling so much more confident about our new hobby. The honey tasting was a bonus & we loved the beautiful ground that it is set on.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Bowral Honey Farm, and I have to say—it was an experience that exceeded expectations. Nestled in the peaceful Highlands countryside, this charming venue offers an immersive look into the world of beekeeping, honey production, and the incredible role bees play in our ecosystem. After the tour, we moved on to the real treat: the honey tasting. The farm produces a variety of honeys depending on the season and the flowers in bloom, and each type had its own distinctive color, aroma, and flavor.

This is a must do when visiting Bowral! We organised this for my sister, who loves Bees - but everyone in our group (bee lover or not) walked away absolutely loving it. Hamish is so informative and engaging - you feel his passion and skill for his craft every step of the way. It was the perfect mix of learning, exploring, tasting and creativity - a great wholesome activity and our whole group had a great time. I actually enjoyed it more than the wine tour we had done the day prior! I'll be recommending this experience to anyone who visits Bowral.

Loved it. Phil was a fantastic guide and taught us so much about honey making experience. We got to try 5 - 6 honeys, we were disappointed that our favourite was sold out, but then they managed to find one for us. Great experience.

We loved the one hour honey tasting tour with Hamish - he was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and funny! The honey tasting at the end was a great way to end the tour. Would highly recommend this tour, a great addition to your Bowral/Southern Highlands holiday!
