We visited Boronia Hotel after many years of absence, as my young daughter was excited to play in Kids Planet.

Our meal quality was quite average. We waited over 45 minutes for our food to arrive, despite the bistro being only 1/4 full at most. Chips were cold (great for the 3yo, poor for the 2x adult meals), adult’s fish & chips were lukewarm at best. Having waited so long, we didn't bother sending our meals back. Minimal staff to speak of so we didn’t bother trying to give feedback.

I had downloaded the Frisbee App, thinking I would likely return so my daughter could use the play area. Told the staff member taking orders at the counter that I was a member and asked to scan my card, she advised she would do so after taking my order. She directed me to the card terminal to take payment, I asked about my member card and was told ‘Too late’ (myst be impossible to go back and add to orders too). She was not interested at all in doing her job (very surly attitude) so I just gave up.

Kids Planet is in desperate need of an extensive clean, and numerous repairs. In it’s current filthy state, it is a great play area to build child immunity. Such a shame, as aside from the dirty surfaces and food scraps throughout, it could otherwise be a fantastic play environment and prime reason to lure families back for repeat visits.

We will not be back in a hurry, we can pay far less for superior service and quality food elsewhere.

We had a table for 22 for my daughter’s 4th birthday lunch recently and the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Food was good and came out quickly. Play area was great, good for both little and bigger kids.

Great place for a relaxing lunch while the kids have a play in such a spacious indoor playground. Service was good and food came out fast. Great tasting pub food and good kids menu too. Kids didn't want to leave which is a great success. Plenty of tables near the playground so you can sit back and relax knowing where the kids are. They have something for toddlers up to older kids so suits all ages. We will be back again with the kids.

We had a booking of 12 and it was a mixed bag in terms of service and food quality.
Let’s start with the service.
1. I tried on 2 phones to join the Frisbe rewards to get a discount on my meal and it didn’t work. I told the cashier and she rudely told me there was nothing she could do and I’d have to pay full price.
2 I ordered a kids meal but was not provided with the vouchers for the drink and ice cream
3 another parent in our party didn’t get her 2 lots of vouchers also
4 the same parent put the order through but one meal was put through incorrectly.

The meals
11 of the 12 meals were delicious. One was almost edible. The pork belly was nice but the rice was just a bit rubbery block. We asked for more rice which never came.

Izzy who serviced us was fantastic. She was so lovely and so helpful.

All in all a mixed bag

I'm vegan and to be honest I had low expectations because pub bistros in the suburbs don't always have the best options. But I loved my meal. I had the vege dim sims and the vegan southern burger and they were surprisingly delicious!

We went to Boronia Hotel to celebrate my little daughter her birthday. We love the atmosphere for kids, definitely is a family friendly place. The play are for small kids is lovely (a lot of thing to do for kids 2-8) the kids menu was good. My girls love the pasta.
We order the pork belly which was well cooked and the Parma which my partner said that how a Parma should look like. The food came really quick.
The staff are friendly and all the time having he attention for anyone need help. The place was clean and tidy.
For sure I will be back.

Came here for my daughter’s 3rd birthday with 14 family members. The kids enjoyed it a lot but the playground was overrun by older kids climbing all over the outside of the play equipment. Made it hard for us to make sure our little kids could play safely.

Half of the table were happy with their food and the other half barely ate theirs. Menu items to avoid would be the special salmon penne, chicken and prawn salad, hoisin pork belly and Tuscan chicken. The rest got steak and were happy with it. Kids meals were good! Lots of choice and we were very happy with the dairy free main and dessert options for our daughter’s dairy allergy.

Decent service with polite staff. The food is quite average and really nothing special. You'd go here more so for the venue and the playground for the kids is awesome. Not a bad place for a quick beer in the afternoon though
