We had an incredible stay at The Retreat Bondi Beach! From the moment we arrived we were relaxed and excited to be on holidays so close to the famous Bondi Beach. They made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The place was exactly as described—clean, comfortable and close to the beach, with actual beach views.

Check-in and check-out was easy and effortless. The accommodation was comfortable and enough space for the four of us. Basics were provided, including beach towels.

Cafes and restaurants were only downstairs or within a block or two, providing a great energy and vibe. The beach and exercise area was literally across the road, with views from the living area and balcony. We felt safe and it was nice to be able to either chill out and relax, or get out and be active!

The centre of Bondi Beach was only a short walk away, and we loved the vibrant night life. There were so many choices of bars and restaurants to choose from that we have a list for next time! The cute little North Bondi Village area was not too far away. They had a bottle shop, cafe and a general store with more than just basics to choose from, including fruit and veg.

Communication with the Hosts was seamless throughout our stay and in the planning stages. They were quick to respond and very friendly, they even sent through some restaurant recommendations when we asked.

I highly recommend staying here or using Bondi Beach Holiday Homes if you’re visiting Bondi. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town!

I booked a one-month stay at an Airbnb property hosted by Bondi Beach Holiday Homes, only to find the listing was quite misleading.

The floors, which appeared pristine in the photos, needed a thorough mop; they were stained and marked with several visible footprints from previous guests. As the floors are painted white of course there would be some general wear and tear, but visible foot prints is a level above this. Unfortunately, the apartment hadn't been cleaned to a reasonable standard, with hair and eyelashes on the pillow and a large drip stain on the cupboard, amongst other issues. Despite the listing advertising features like premium bath products, Foxtel and magazines, none of these amenities actually existed.

While I don’t necessarily require such extras to enjoy a holiday, if they are promoted as selling points, they should be delivered. In Bondi, there is no shortage of holiday accommodation, so those little details can set a property apart and influence someone’s decision—just as they did for me.

I contacted Bondi Beach Holiday Homes with photos of the floors to highlight the need for further cleaning and pointed out discrepancies between the listing and the amenities provided. They arranged for cleaners to return the next day, and although some issues were addressed, they neither cleaned the floors nor replaced the linen—which was quite baffling, given that cleanliness was my primary concern.

I contacted Airbnb to flag the issues (as you must notify them of any issues within 72 hours to be eligible for Aircover) and Bondi Beach Holiday Homes became quite snarky and defensive. They dismissed the cleanliness issues and claimed that "the floors are white and rustic, not dirty" and suggested I should thank a host who provides extra cleaning and items, rather than backhandedly opening a case with Airbnb. This response was surprising, especially since I paid a cleaning fee of close to $200 and the property still had not been cleaned properly.

In the end, I was able to check out 2 weeks early as that was the time frame it took to work through the process with Airbnb to arrange a refund and source new accommodation on short notice given the length of my stay. Interestingly, after my negative experience, the company removed any mention of Foxtel and photos of the premium bath products from the listing—but never admitted fault or offered any apology. Instead, they insisted my Airbnb review was inaccurate.

I honestly would book with a different company as perhaps this could be an isolated incident, but I would not risk my holiday on it.

Think twice before booking with these guys. Once getting to our apartment (for our long hard earnt holiday) we were disgusted by how the room did not match the photos on the advertising. The room had no heating and we were given portable heaters that cut out every few minute so had no chance to heat apartment. You could not have a shower with our bathroom flooding. After trying to contact host they put it down to us changing our mind lol. Don’t book through these guys. Our room was that bad that we left after the first night and booked another room elsewhere at our own cost.

Excellent, I stayed a week in The Surfer's Loft Tamarama and it was amazing.
It was very clean and the apartment was equipped with everything you need, also the host answered really quickly to my requests.
I recommend it without a doubt, a place with essence in front of the beach.

Super tidy house, spacious, and really nice energy in the apartment. Definitely my go-to Beach Holiday Home in Sydney. No doubt the best place that I have ever been in my life.

I couldn't recommend it any better. You can really feel that they are aiming for perfection.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Bondi Beach Holiday Homes, and I must say my experience was absolutely amazing! I was instantly submerged into a tranquil and paradisiacal atmosphere.

The property itself was simply stunning, with gorgeous views of Bondi Beach. My accommodation was spotless, elegantly decorated, and very well equipped, the stay was luxurious.

The location was unbeatable, just minutes away from the beach, as well as charming cafes, everything was easily accessible.

On top of that, the service was outstanding; assistance was always easily attainable and everything I could have needed was provided.

Overall my stay was nothing short of magical. It's the perfect retreat for anyone seeking a blend of comfort, luxury, and the natural beauty of Bondi Beach. I highly recommend Bondi Beach Holiday Homes to anyone planning a visit to this picturesque destination. I'm already looking forward to my next stay!
