Very calm area with beautiful harbourside views. The rugged rock terrain was fun to explore, hosting some large, swimmable rock pools. There are also a lot of albatross and seagulls there so don't be scared if one approaches you. Car park is limited so best to go early.

Great spot to watch whales when it's in season. You can also come down here with your family and have a picnic. You can go down and have a swim.

It is a lookout on an ocean cliff which offers a panoramic view as well as a good place to spot humpback whales and southern right whales. The whale migration season is during June to August. It is a good alternative to joining a whale watching cruise, it is free. But whale sighting is a bit far from shore, a good binocular will be handy. There is ample parking.

So glorious.
Didn't see any Whales, however the serenity and views were spectacular and unbelievably calming.
There is a $2 Whale watching binocular machine..such a brilliant experience.
There is a bench to sit on and ponder the extraordinary experience.
Well worth visiting.

A special natural tourist attraction that is worth checking out if you are in the area. Boat Harbour is a small trek out onto rocks, as you edge closer and closer to the waves. There is a small trail to follow that ends at the rocks and from there it's just a matter of having some fun rock hopping until you get to the unreachable island at the back.

If you explore both sides you'll find some secret rock pools that you can jump into if you've got swimmers on. It's the perfect place to get that perfect Insta photo 📸

My daughter and I love visiting once a year to have a picnic on the rocks while watching the waves crash around us. We also like exploring and looking for crabs. All up, when we visit, it's always a 1-2 hour experience because we stop for a picnic and look for crabs/treasure. If you aren't eating and resting, you could walk out and back the main trail in 20-25 minutes easy. 30m would be plenty of time.

I would not recommend this for kids 3 years or less. 4-5 years will possibly need some help on the rocks and it can be dangerous and slippery if they aren't paying attention. It's perfect for kids aged 6 and above who don't need any help. Check the weather before going - you don't want to be caught out close to the island in a big storm - there is real potential to get washed away!

Fishing - yes you can rock fish in parts.

Snorkelling and diving - you can snorkel in some parts when its not intense waves but I don't recommend it. Certainly not diving unless you are an expert diver/swimmer and/or have a death wish.

Rocky surface easy to climb up and down but it will be hard for wheel. The access is not suitable for wheel chair or baby pram. Be sure to wear your climbing shoes, not flip flop.

It’s amazing experience, we can see not just one but more than 10 whales that morning. Whale come passing only on winter time.

It's one of my favourite spots in the bay. Amazing place to go whale watching or just enjoy the beauty nature has to offer. Can get windy.

Really nice to go sit on the rocks and watch the whales.
Parking close by. Just make sure you have good shoes as the ground is uneven and rocky. There are no shops close by.
