The Bluff Resort felt very tired and rundown and in need of refurbishment. The pool was definitely not solar heated, it was freezing cold even after a week of very hot weather. The views were nice but the rooms were lacking and the bed was absolutely terrible. It was sagging and had zero support it was an unbearable few nights sleep. It is a big stretch to call this a resort. I cannot recommend and would definitely not return.

Exceptional Stay – Highly Recommended!
The room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep, and the view from my window was breathtaking.
Overall, my stay at bluff appartments exceeded my expectations, and I can’t wait to return. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay!

We had a back room with king bed good full flow shower you get plates cups cutlery kettle microwave toaster. The fridge was very hard to set from freeze or defrost. There is nowhere to sit and eat the chair was too low and no table and chairs to sit at. there is stairs for a lot of rooms

When I called and requested late check-in instructions, the staff told me she had already talked to someone about this, and it did not seem like she wanted to repeat the information to me. This is very strange because I am a solo traveler and I would be the only person calling. After a few minutes explaining to her about my situation, she asked for my email. Then my phone was disconnected (poor signal). I called back, and the same person asked if she could talk to someone else who could understand her. I told her I was the only one calling and I could understand her perfectly. Eventually, I was able to give her my email so she could send the check-in instructions. Also, the wifi password was not posted in the room. So I have no internet connection. This is not a good experience and I will be reluctant to stay there again.

This place was disappointing 😞. The pool only operated in office hours, so by 5pm you had to be out. Everywhere had signage telling you to watch out you will be asked to leave if not doing the right thing. A few coffee and teas provided but nothing else. The rooms were good and clean but would not stay again.

Loved the whole experience will definately return. Thankyou so much our room was very nice and it had everything we needed as well as being very clean and comfortable it was joy to spend time there.
Looking forward to coming back to swim in your resort pool again.

Be aware that the Pool closes at 5 pm! Even during summer!
We booked to enjoy a family holiday for my birthday and extremely disappointed to not be able to use this amenity later in the day. The views are now interrupted with new buildings in front and workers still making noise. The TV didn’t work in our room. My daughter also got food poisoning from the restaurant - whalers Inn. They have been notified. Disappointing.

The woman in reception 6/2/25had the personality of a wet paper bag, all I got was a piece of paper told to fill it in the given the keys and that was it, to the maintenance man thankyou for your service it was very much appreciated and for fixing the leaky tap arrival 6/2/25
The Studio was fresh ((new furniture and idcsay carpet) bed very comfortable, was great to have a spa BATH to wind down after a long day of sight seeing.. Great little kitch set up to cook your own meals, only thing fridge door had no bottom shelf for big bottle or milk (broken right off,) so but hard to keep bottle of champagne cold....For $230 a night I would expect everything to be working,
Encounter Bay is an awesome spot to make a base for a few days, weeks whatever..lots of places to visit within an hour...
