I was looking for a naturalist-guided tour of the Blue Mountains, but this is more of a day spent in a van with 14 other people. The stops are all scenic overlooks, lunch, or a “farm” where you can have your photo taken with a koala who just wants to be left alone. Our guide Karyn narrated the whole trip and we learned a lot about the history of the area (and her right-leaning political views). Some of the things she told us were so unbelievable I had to look them up. For example: “New South Wales averages 6 inches of rainfall per year” (it’s actually 60cm/24 inches to 120cm/47 inches) or about the dozens of spider webs on a rock wall “those are all highly venomous funnel spider webs” but when I shared photos of them with an Australian spider expert, they said that they were just house spider webs. Better safe than sorry, but I wish I had booked a tour with an actual naturalist.

Axel was perhaps the best tour guide ever. Despite unforeseen weather and other challenges to tour Axel found a way to make the day fantastic all. He was energetic, entertaining and informative. And you could tell he was 100% about making sure his customers were completely satisfied. Absolutely incredible.

A very nice adventure yesterday with our Guide Jason. The Tour is worth every single Penny. No hidden fees etc. everything is including - fees , meals and so cute on the end of the Tour a small gift. I will be back again for a another Tour with BMT.

The tour/day was amazing, the chapter bus, the stop at the zoo, the views of Blue Mountains from various observation points were spectacular. All inclusive package, riding the cable cars and the train were something we will always remember. Tom our tour guide was great, talked/narrated the whole trip. Thank you, well worth the cost.
