Amazing agency, the bus ride was so cool, with live commentary and their overall services were amazing. They were very quick, friendly, and professional, considering we were there on a public holiday, service was top notch. The staff were ready to help out with maps and guiding us as we were unfamiliar with the surroundings. Amazing, and definitely check it out if you are in Katoomba!

Disappointing Experience in Blue Mountain, Katoomba, Australia .

I'm extremely dissatisfied with the service we received. We purchased two inclusive package tickets at the highest price and arrived at 2 pm. However, when we tried to board the 2:45 pm bus, the staff member denied us entry, despite there being available space. It appeared to be a case of racial discrimination, as other passengers of a different ethnicity were allowed to board. And then we take bus at 3 pm. His picture is attached.

To make matters worse, the next bus driver was also uncooperative and refused to take us on the 5:05 pm return trip. We were forced to take a shuttle from a different location.

The total cost for our tickets and ponchos was $224. I urge others, particularly people of color, to exercise caution when interacting with this business to avoid similar experiences of manipulation and harassment.

The behavior we encountered was unacceptable and racist. I complained and ask to refund my money but they do refuse my request.

There is only one bus and it’s every hour so this is definitely not a hop on, hop off service. It could be improved by adding another bus and making sure that the departure times in Katoomba line up with the train service from Sydney. Standing in the heat on any part of the route for 45 mins is not a great feature for getting around the area. Public buses would have been more timely and cost effective.
The customer service at the office and the driver’s greeting and patter was excellent, badly let down by the infrequency of the bus.

This is the first time we have been in the blue mountains. We had missed the cable car and we were stuck in the dark with 3 kids. We called the bus company by accident and Darrell had provided us a ride back to the car park. I can't thank the bus driver and Darrell enough. The service is absolutely amazing. Their kindness has been greatly appreciated. They deserve more than five stars. Highly recommend.

Had a great tour, with each time informations from the drivers (also on where to start the walks) and a very useful booklet to get around easily. Would recommend if you want to sit back and enjoy the possibility to walk one ways and catch the bus at a later stage

Money well spent. The bus takes you all around the charming town that borders all of the beautiful walks and sights. The guides in the office will give you a map and can give you general information about how you might want to plan your day. There are two busses that come to each stop every thirty minutes. As you ride the bus the driver gives you information about each of the walks that you can take at each stop. They are very friendly and helpful so don't hesitate to ask any questions. Wonderful trip.

We had 2 drivers on our trip, first was good, second was outstanding.
Weather was poor so views were hit and miss but the driver was so entertaining, also knowledgeable.
Highly recommend this hop on, hop off tour

If you have an extra day and want to get out of the city, go to the Blue Mountains! And once you decide to do that, make that visit with the Explorer Bus!

We had a late start to our day but our driver, Jimmy, had such great advice on what to do that we didn't feel like we missed much.

We got the Lyrebird Pass, which includes access to Scenic World. Highly recommend you do that if you have a full day as the Scenic World rides were a lot of fun.

This was an easy 2hr train ride from Sydney Central Station to Katoomba for about A$6-7 one-way. The Explorer Bus is right outside the station, where they give you your guide book & tickets.

The bus itself is hop-on, hop-off and comes around every 30min at each stop. It's a one way loop so do take the stations in order.

Lots of smaller or longer hikes, all very beautiful. You really can't go wrong with any of the stops. And if you need advice, definitely ask the drivers as they're very knowledgeable.
