The perfect location in Katoomba, near shops and train station. Wendy and John’s hospitality was top notch, always ready to assist. The facilities were maintained and always clean. Definitely recommended. The prices are reasonable considering the location.

Stayed for 2 months inbetween leases. Great facilities, laundry, kitchen. Staff are lovely, personable and helpful. Calm environment and vibe at the place, made some great friends. Safe, private, clean and convenient. Would stay here again gladly in the future. Thank you everyone at Blue Lyrebird!

This is a great place to stay for a while. The rooms are comfortable and its very quiet. The facilities are excellent, with plenty of space. The commercial kitchen complete with ample fridges and freezers is more than enough for everyone. Wendy, John, and the rest of the crew, do a great job keeping the building running smoothly, and always look after you. Highly recommended.

Stayed here for work for 3 weeks felt like home being attended to cloths washed massive kitchen for big cook ups pool table to have fun with the boys after work a very relaxed place.. also after hours service was never a problem
If ever we needed anything it was never a drama Wendy also allowed us to park our work Ute behind closed gates felt really secure...will definitely be returning..

The Blue Lyre Bird is an awesome place to stay, and is managed by the lovely and kind Wendy. the place is awesome and unique as it has the feel of a welcoming community of people, with all the privacy one might want or need. the facilities are cleaned daily and are top notch. the common area includes a huge dining and lounge area, with a gas fire that runs 24/7 to keep the place warm in the cooler months. it has a very convenient free laundromat, and the kitchen is huge with multiple stove top, microwaves, ovens etc, and fridges. the rooms come with a microwave, fridge, double bed, linen, table and chair, tv with a remote, and cupboard, and complimentary heaters and fans. its located 5 mins walk from the train station, buses, shops,and coles, and dan murphys is literally right next door. Truly great place to live and stay
