The owner of this place is really nice. We are foreign cyclists, happened to be forced to stop in this area because of bad traffic. The couple at front dest tried their best to help and provided a lot of useful information. We felt really touched. We stayed in the inn for one night. The food and the beer were great! Thank you so much!

We love the Black Spurr Inn!!! We unfortunately were there and experienced some disrespectful behaviour by a group of teenage girls who only wanted to use the bathroom facilities, who became quite rude when told by the owner Dianne, the toilets are for guests only (and they were not guests) We have loved this motel and have been coming back for over 15 years. Our kids were babies, now young adults, who look forward to revisiting the Black Spur every year. The owners and staff are lovely, the rooms are cozy and the food is delicious. We look forward to our dinner & breakfasts each year…. We love that you can play billiards in the pub whilst enjoying a beer, or enjoy the fire in the dining room. The serenity is stunning, the windows in the dinning room give you the opportunity to look out to the lush greenery and experience the beauty of nature at its finest.

Nice wait staff, especially the younger guy serving us. Entre was good - hommus and dip. Mains was mediocre - chicken Parma. Fries were great but the chicken Parma had soggy crumbing. Also, the beers on tap were ok but would be good to have a classic like Great Northern, Furphy or Carlton Draught. The overall atmosphere is cool. Especially the fire!

We went on the package, stay dine wine and breakfast. Fabulous value. The pub is very homely with fire place and big comfy couches. Our Room was big with views into the forest. The king bed was very comfortable great linen heated bath towel rail, big bathroom. Everything supplied for your comfort. Di and her team were very accommodating. The 3 course meal was fabulous, the boys in the kitchen are very good Chefs. It was very yummy, as was the breakfast next morning. I would highly recommend the Black Spur hotel for their package deal?

My husband and I stayed at the Easter Weekend. Di, Jim and the team were amazing. They were very hospitable, friendly and courteous. We loved staying here. The breakfast was sumptuous. The beds were very comfortable. Toiletries were of good quality. There was complimentary Port Wine from Rutherglen. A good getaway from home. Will certainly come back in the future.||Regards|Laveena

I have never been so appalled by any services staff behaviour and attitude ever before. The elderly female manager was beyond racist to my family and I. She singled us out and wasn’t willing to serve us whilst people of culture, that resembled her own, beside us were treated with fairness and respect. She is a disgrace to humanity. Australia stands on fairness, respect and multiculturalism. Which was not reflected by this staff member. DISGRACE!!

Checked into the black spurr inn, as part of the amazing co accomodation package. Friendly service, clean and spacious room, very comfy king bed. We just finished dinner at the onsite restaurant and this was delicious.
Highly recommend.
